our inbounding..what the is going on here? 5 second violations, turnovers..every inbound coming down to the last second of the 5..it's getting ridiculous..it shouldn't be such a problem for us..

New Rule ... Michael Finley isn't allowed to inbounds the ball. That'd solve all the problems.

you have to give credit to the Clippers for creating that pressure, Camby was huge on those plays........

Pop made the gutsy move to call for a 3 pt play to win the game.

I'm not just talking about tonight..we had the same problems vs. Sacramento..

we shouldn't be turning the ball over on an inbound with 50 seconds left and a tie game though..ridiculous..

It's SO much easier to inbound the ball when you have Manu and Parker out there running around. I'm just sayin'...

I'd say let Mason or Duncan inbound the ball instead of Finley, and you'd solve about 90% of the above problems.

Finley's inbounding problems started earlier in the season when he missed both Mason and Duncan wide open for game winners and instead threw it to Parker who had to shoot an off balanced three.

Yet Pop just keeps letting him inbound . . .

Doesn't make any sense since Finley is usually a good option coming off a screen in a catch and shoot situation at the end of a game.

Duncan is the best inbound passer on the team.....WHY DOESNT HE DO IT???!!!

Finley seems like he constantly chokes or has some of the slowest reactions on the team...i hate to question Pop but, man he must have some kind of explanation for letting him inbound the last offensive possesion after he threw away the 2nd to last one....

Which IMO, they don't run that play enough.

That play should be run about 8 times a game, minimum.

It isn't all Finleys fault. There were 2, 5 second violations in 4 seconds. The others were just bad screening on the inbounds plays. After the screens were bad, nobody would move to get open.

I've always thought Duncan was better than most at inbounding. (Unless my bias is showing again). Why wasn't he doing it?

His size alone is a big reason i wish he would ...

But then there'd be nobody on the court for Finley to force a pass to.

So it's pretty much what O_V said. When Parker and Manu are back, Duncan will inbound. Works for me.

Duncan is a fantastic inbounder, I like taking notice of those sort of little things. Duncan is an incredible outlet passer and as always, it's done in the most fundamental fashion, two hands above the head. Robert Horry is probably the best inbound passer the Spurs have had and one of the best post feeders I've ever seen.

It's kind of tough because you would like to have Duncan as the inbounder, but it robs the Spurs of there tallest target should the need arise to lob the ball to beat the clock.

i have another concern, i know pop is a hardass, but i dont necessarily agree with him when he benches hill after every mistake for long stretches. the next time hes out there hes not going to want to make mistakes but more importantly hes not gonna want to make a play to avoid mistakes. this could be a possible reason why no one else on the team wants to shoot the damn ball.

i know its hard to balance winning and play efficiently against wanting to give hill some experience but i think most people agree that hill has a better skill set then vaughn and has a higher chance of contributing more despite the fact that vaughn in a veteran.

at the end of the day im not pop and i dont have personal relationships with any spurs players so i'll trust pop on this one. afterall we won so its a concern but its nothing to go crazy about.

The one Finley forced to Tim, Finley had Bonner with position about 3-4 feet from his (Finley's) man. It's not a great option cause of the proximity of both defenders, but it'd have been a wiser choice than the (short toss) lob to Tim with Camby all over him.

This isn't Finley's first inbound screwup. But he does tend to turn into Josh Howard when doing so. Pop should change that up
