I only saw him play like fifteen seconds. The Clipper commentators said, "who is THAT guy?" and then he matador defended a layup and that was it.
Mason averaging 13.8 pts, 4.4 boards and 3 assists per game. Very very nice. And also very similar to Manu's stats in his second season with the Spurs. And better than Stephen Jackson's in 2003, when we won the Championship.

... Spurs coach Gregg Popovich's 634 wins put him third on the list of most coaching wins with one team. He trails Utah's Jerry Sloan (1,002) and former Boston coach Red Auerbach (795). ..

I'm not down on George at all..he's starting his 5th game of his career..he was a LATE ROUND PICK, not the #1 pick of the draft..he's already shown signs of being a huge steal, but he doesn't have that pressure on him..if Hill was playing for a lottery team, he would be seeing 35+ minutes right now..
I do like the pieces we have but our frontcourt really needs some help. Bonner and Oberto aren't cutting it.
His defense looked ugly but I dont think anyone expected it to be like bowens. He hit a 3 which looked pretty sweet.
Ahearn looked good offensively..he was obviously passive, but he made a 3, and his missed 3 had solid form and looked like it was going down..
his defense on the other hand..but that was expected..
Ahearn is a stiff.
I hated his positioning on defense, his offense was VERY hesitant when it should've been "WTF, I've got a few weeks here, might as well kick some ass"
Very passive, very slow.
Next in line please.
he ended with 18 pts actually
(8-18)
You would expect more in his first game wouldn't you?
Has he had a chance to even practice with the team? His shot was nice, but I don't foresee him playing much of a role.
Ahearn's shot was the game-winner.
We just didn't realize it at the time.
I said almost the exact same thing in the other thread about Ahearn and T Park completely missed the point.
Not surprising.
I didn't expect 15 and 8.
I expected more agressive shooting, I expected better ball handling than he showed as well.
I didn't miss the point.
The point had as much creedence as saying "Ginobili and Parker had they played, the Spurs would've won by 30"
You expected more aggressive shooting from a guy playing his first game with the Spurs? Oh, ok.
Yes I expected more agressive shooting from a guy that averaged almost 30 a game in the D league and is playing on borrowed time.
Got it.

You couldn't be more wrong. The Spurs won by three points. The dude scored three points for the Spurs. There's no hypothetical involved, those are absolute facts. You can say he sucks or whatever but the Spurs needed every basket the team scored tonight, including his three.
Ok fine.
His contribution was monumental.
No, stupid. Follow the words: His contribution was NOT hypothetical.
Both open shots he got, he took, and nailed one of them.![]()
After a few seasons here you just learn to ignore posters like TPark anyway.
