nice dem
way to go
Republicans were furious that Wurzelbacher was targeted, saying that he was simply a private citizen who stood up and questioned the Democratic presidential candidate.
only his story turned out to be a complete fabrication....kinda like the promises of conservatism..
Well they acted furious.
All part of the game, and everybody played the part so well.
Everybody.
Jones-Kelley would be a good vp nominee
It doesn't really matter to me who Joe the Plumber is or what he owns or how much money he makes. He asked Obama a serious question about tax policy, and Obama responded by saying he wanted to "spread the wealth around." That's significant. Attacking Joe the Plumber does nothing to change that.
Similarly, although I believe strongly in the importance of the Second Amendment, I don't own any guns. I probably will never own any guns. But if I were to ask a politician who supports gun control to explain himself and his proposed policies, he shouldn't be excused from answering the question simply because I don't own a gun. And people shouldn't think my lack of guns makes the politician any less responsible for his answers.
Back to tax policy . . . I supposedly won't make enough money to get personally slammed by Obama's tax increases. Supposedly. But I still want to make that kind of money, and hopefully within the next 4 to 8 years. Isn't that OK?
what got me was how people didn't really get or that Joe the Plumber became "Joe the Plumber".
the juvenile republican act back-fired. not that surprising.
you can't sign up palin and pull this adolescent garbage for the win.
but, i'd love to see palin win the primaries in 2012.
Sure, but if you then became a surrogate of the other candidate and where put into the national spotlight and were holding interview after interview at your house then don't be surprised when people became curious about who "doob the hunter" really was.
Please don't sit there and act like this guy asking a question is what prompted people to ask about him. The VAST majority of America had no idea who this guy was even after he asked his question. It wasn't until the debate happened. I was glued to campaign coverage and I had no idea who he was until McCain used him as the focus of his debate planning. THAT is why people looked into it. Not because of anything else.
if i'm not mistaken joe's whole life story was exposed before that debate. i think it was 'cause i was rolling my eyes when mccain brought it up.
I don't know who is less deserving of continued media coverage, JtP or Palin.
The news is simple and clear. If a concerned citizen does anything to make a prominent democrat look bad, his life is turned upside down. That includes and republican that dare run against a prominent democrat.
Message: leave us alone, or we will turn our Gestapo on you.
I am so upset that so few good people step up into politics. I am absolutely furious that democrats use fascist tactics to keep them away. Democrats cannot yet ignore the first amendment, but they sure have other ways of silencing good people.
It's called fear.
Who's the next person that will be victimized by the left?
that would be a gifts from above, and a sure fire second term for Obama....
but onto the subject at hand...
shouldn't this joe guy crawl back into whatever cave he came out of?
i mean...who cares?
he wanted to live in a glass house and still throw some rocks...it wasn't like he was a swing voter asking a reasonable question...it has already been proven he was a mccain donor before the question got asked...so he did what any supporter would do, and mccain turned it into a publicity stunt, and it backfired horribly wrong for him...but its over now...not to forget that this skinhead will get to ride this thing out to a paycheck...like andy warhol once said....
Message: Get some face time around a historic political figure, get an agent and new career as not a plumber.
It's called marketing.
Who's the next person that will have his drab life utterly transformed by the starmaking power of Barak Obama? You're just jealous.
Yep......maybe it's just me but if your gonna call a Presidential candidate out in front of cameras and then try to launch a career off it, your story better damn well check out.......
