If he turns out to be better than Oberto, this team is going to be an absolute bear come playoffs. Even the critics will have the Spurs in the WCF going to 7 (or winning in 5-6) against LA.

yeah i wouldnt say we need much offensive production out of mahinmi but some decent defense and grabbing boards could be huge if he can deliver

Thank you, Corey Maggette, for taking the money. RMJ isn't as good as Maggette but he fits like a glove.

And to think we only thought he'd be good for 12ppg before the season, LJ! Ha!

Yeah, Mason is the perfect 4th scorer for this team.

Now all we need is another big with a pulse, and we're set for the season.

Next offseason is all about finding a Bowen replacement.

We should probably temper the excitement a bit....

I mean he's not going to shoot this well all year long and defenses will adjust...especially good ones. Mason is a gunner off the bench and has done a very good job at putting the ball through the hoop, but he'll also have nights where he takes 10 and only hits a couple.

The guy I'm more impressed with and intrigued by is Hill. No he's not a better shooter, but it seems he is more aggressive at taking the ball to the hole and has done a pretty good job at finishing or drawing fouls.

Sounds a little crazy to say it, but I think Hill might actually be the best "scorer" on the team outside of Tim, Tony, and Manu.

    I agree.

I really wanted Corey Maggette....but Roger Mason is the perfect fit for this team. He becomes the 4th option and the 6th man when the calvary comes back.

Also, I think he will help Finley's game as well...because they will both be a part of the 2nd unit and Roger can create his own shot and shots for others.

Terrific stuff by him so far!!!
