I dont know about all that. Ian has been in a spurs uniform sitting on a spurs bench. Heck he's even been on the court playing. I do hope your right. I do hope he was here because hes coming back. No reason for him tobe in Austin.
With the plan that Ian will join the Spurs as soon as they think he's ready, I would think that being at the game serves a couple of purposes. He can see, feel, and hear what's going on, and it gives him a chance to start being a part of this team even before he suits up. This team is about chemistry as well as talent, it makes sense to let Ian feel like he's a part of it as much as possible. It will help the on court adjustment.

And he looked good in his brief stints out there. Mrs Duncan (228 that is!) is correct. There is nothing odd about it. They are trying to create a "team" atmosphere. Ian wants to be a part of it and they want him to be as well. It makes perfect since. Plus, I am sure that he loves going to the games and sitting on the bench, wouldn't you?
Dude lives in San Antonio.
I am at the games. I help put up the court and their hockey rink. Tear it down as well. Alot of players go down to their D-leagues. Sitting on the bench does them no good. With or without injuries. And none of them are good players. Ill leave at that.
