Just wondering. He played pretty good defense against Duncan and regularly plays good defense. IMO, I think he suits the Spurs better than the above-mentioned two centers the Spurs currently have.

    Just want your opinions

    This is his current avg line so far: 14 2 17.0 .517 .000 .444 1.40 3.10 4.50 .5 .57 .36 .57 2.50 4.9

It's better than KT or Fab, but I don't see how the Spurs could get him. For the more knowledgeable ST posters, is there anything the Spurs have Memphis might want?

He's saved some good performances (relatively speaking) for the Spurs. But on most nights, he makes Beno look like Charlie Hustle.

I'll grant Darko this though - there's not a chair in the world that can defend him.

I like Darko, he's a bit of a headcase but put him in in the right situation and he cares enough to win.

the most shockin' one is the " (with the expression, ah i almost forgot) if he has a daughter, i will her too"

There we can see the analogy between basketball and war somewhat pertinent, violent instinct unleashed and repressed sorts....

Cursing flows a lot easier in Serbian. No wonder it's Pop's halftime language of choice.

Id take Darko over Fab and Kurt. Whats the worse he can do. Fab and Kurt can get double digit rebounds or points together. Heck if you cant play then at least be like Horry and take some cheap shots to let people know your on the court. But that would be to much to ask for a soft player. With the minutes both Fab and Kurt are getting, imo Elson would be a better fit playing next to Tim. All he has todo is raise his arms and hes better then Fab and Kurt put together. Its not like the Spurs have a role for a Center so far. Why? Because they dont have one yet.

Darko is 7'1" with a 7'5" wingspan. Hes mobile and pretty athletic. Excellent shot blocker and pretty good man to man defender.

If Mahinmi doesnt pan out i think he would be worth at least enquiring about. The dude loves his country and it let it get to him a bit , so what.

From what I've seen of him on the court, he's certainly capable of fulfilling our needs at the center position. He can rebound and block at a decent rate.

From what I've seen of him off the court, I wouldn't want him anywhere near the Spurs. I just get this bad vibe from him. It just seems like he's a ticking time bomb. I understand getting angry at the refs, but talking about raping a ref's daughter? That's completely over the line.

he might have been 20 when that happened though.
