I am inclined to agree with you.
Rockets @ home and seem to be very disapppointed by blowing the Pacer game.
Should be hard fought, and typically SAS-HOU low-scoring.
I am inclined to agree with you.
Spurs @ Rockets is easily the best game today, I can't wait...2 1/2 hours more.
Should be a hard-fought game, both teams have something to prove.
Ok I'm gonna have to finally ask this, Who is the asian girl in your sig?![]()
Hahah, it's "Gu Chen", the girlfriend of Laker rookie "Sun Yue".

Yao was pissed off with the loss against Indiana, if he's totally healthy tonite, i think he's gonna have a big game offensively. I don't mind that, actually i like that, as long the Spurs get the win.
The Lamar problem is indeed troubling. But the Lakers have too much talent right now, they can't give Sun Yue any burn. Phil likes Sun Yue (that's why he's not in the D-league) and might shutdown Fisher for a few months and bring in Yue. Fisher will probably retire next year.
But we'll talk about the Lakers when they play the Spurs, I can't be rude and keep talking about about them in the gameday thread.
Go Spurs!
If healthy these Lakers scare the crap out of me.
theyre not a good disciplined defensive team but their length is so much bigger than most teams it makes them a good defensive team.
I'm guessing that Duncan will be guarding Yao tonight but I wonder if that will put Timmy in foul trouble. I don't know if Oberto or Scola can guard Yao since he recently had a great game against a 6'9 guy (forgot who). I think Oberto's 6'10 and KT is 6'9, Bonner 6'10 correct me if I'm wrong.
Duncan will guard Yao in moderation. He wont be assigned to him though
You mean like help defense? Who do you think will be most effective on your team to guard Yao?
well Yao is almost unguardable. You just gotta hope he doesnt play aggressive enough and limit his catches.
But i guess if anyone had a good chance at defending him it would be Timmy
Jeff McDonald: No T-Mac for Rockets
The Spurs are back at full strength, with Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker returning from injury this week. The Rockets, meanwhile, are not.
Tracy McGrady will miss his second consecutive game tonight with a sore right knee, the Rockets have just announced. McGrady is set to undergo further tests on the knee tomorrow.
McGrady also missed Houston's 91-90 loss to Indiana on Wednesday. In his place, Shane Battier -- who is coming off a foot injury of his own -- gets the start.
In part due to lingering injury, McGrady is averaging 15.6 points per game this season, a career low.
Duncan is probably the most effective, but guarding Yao all game would likely land him in foul trouble.
I imagine Pop will throw a combination of Thomas and Oberto at Yao, with a little bit of Bonner if things go south. While they all give up considerable size (who doesn't to Yao?), they are all crafty and capable of at least getting under his skin a little.
Duncan will likely play strong helpside, and if it comes down to a crunch time situation, I wouldn't be surprised to see him switched onto the big fella.
Yeah, you're right, Yao's a difficult cover when he's aggressive.
Oberto & KT are pretty crafty. You made me think of Bonner. I think Bonner and KT can do the best job on Yao because even though he'll be hard to stop, they can cause Yao to be much less effective on the Defensive end. With their shooting, Bonner and KT can bring Yao out of the paint and make it easier for the Spurs guards and Duncan to score.
Yeah, the only way crafty and Bonner belong in the same sentence is if we're talking about his stamp collection. But the Red Rocket has done a surprisingly good job of hitting his shots recently.
I've noticed that Yao has a tendency to get pretty winded, so if anything just making him chase after the ginger for a while might be productive.
anyone know what channel this will be on dish network?
Who you pullin' for?
Be honest![]()
Spurs, I didn't root for the Rockets when I LIVED in Houston and I ain't gonna start now.
Rockets have mostly good guy players, nobody to hate but Stevie Franchise just messed it up for me with the Rockets back then.
i am looking foward to TD vs Yao![]()
Tony Parker vs Aaron Brooks is what I'm also looking forward to seeing.
Pure Speed on Speed.
come on lets beat the rockets!
