Good, it's about time s bag hacks get punished. I say it's not enough for the violations of a person’s privacy, in the manner and with the tools they did it with. It would fire and jail the ones responsible and suspend the ones following illegal orders.

I do hope Joe sues their asses off in civil court.

Like pitbull , Joe the Plumber's Assistant is just another inane vestige of McNasty's incredibly brain-dead, distraction-filled losing campaign.

Why are you continuing this stupidity?

Just how did McCain plant Joe?

Obama's people made him the icon he is.

    "McCain plant Joe"

    you said that, I didn't.

Just why did McNasty mention Joe ad nauseam in then next debate?

McNasty and pitbull blew Joe up into something they thought they could hammer Obama with. Turned out, their Joe tactic was just another failed, stupd, distracting tactic.

No kidding. Nobody sad plant but you Cobra. And even if they didn't plant him they were damn willing to try to use him as a campaign tool afterwards (Although in the end, he proved to be just a tool). At least they did when Joe the Plumber showed up, wait I mean Sam the unlicensed plumber who was ing about Obama's tax plan which actually benefited him given the fact that he didn't have the income he claimed and had back taxes and liens hanging over him.

Because the illegal NSA wiretaps that you love to defend were done in plain sight and with complete oversight by this administration... you're such a two-faced partisan hack...

We disagree there. Nothing two-faced about it. The government has private information about people. There was an abuse by individuals for their own reasons. The wire taping is set up, and yes, is in conflict to some laws and regulations. However, it can be ignored by the highest executive office for legitimate purposes to protect this nation. The fourth amendment protects against "unreasonable" search and seizure. Laws passed by congress cannot. Again, cannot, override the presidents duty to protect this nation.

We have gone over this before. I don't remember if you were involved, but a warrant is not required to search when there is probable cause. Technically, a warrant is an order to take an action rather than permission. However, in the world of endless litigations and poor court decisions, it is sought after for legal permission in more times than necessary by original intent.

I am not worried about such wiretaps as designed to be used. I am however of an individual with some perverse sense of reason, to abuse the tools. Thing is, it is illegal for the workers to do such things for personal reasons. It doesn’t matter if the NSA has a program to access the information or not. Even if it was illegal in everyone’s eyes, and not permitted at all, some people will still abuse the power. Just making something illegal does not stop it from happening. Please don't think like a lib . You're better than that.

It was absolutely illegal for the people prying into Joe’s records. That did not stop them from doing it.

And please. Don’t me a partisan hack. You are generally level-headed. What’s wrong with you? I do not side with the republicans because they are republicans. I only side with them when I think they are right. Yes, I do generally hate the democrats. I am anti-democrat rather than pro-republican.

Then you wouldn't mind if the local welfare office run a few checks on
you to see if you have any warrants, criminal history, suspended license,
or owe back child support. Just because you ask a question of a
    political candidate.

Obama screws up by answering a question he hadn't been briefed on
on how to answer. And got caught showing what he is: a socialist
who likes to spend your and my money the way he sees fit.

But guess they did prove one point, don't screw with Obama and his
gang they will nail you to the wall, if they can. I have to wonder how
many they did the same to and we aren't aware of them.

Probably none, seeing how badly Joe the Plumber failed as a campaign issue.

Dude its plumbing, digging out stuck in a toliet, putting duct tape on a leak. I laugh at the "master plumber" who Joe works for. I bet getting a drivers license is harder than getting a toliet license. Joe the cleaner is a plumber, he cannot own his own business until he gets his "master plumbers" license. Thats the big difference.

You're telling me that the President has overriding power over the Cons ution he swore to uphold? Your argument makes no sense. There is no such powers granted to the President by the Cons ution. Please feel free to prove me wrong.

We have gone over this before. I don't remember if you were involved, but a warrant is not required to search when there is probable cause. Technically, a warrant is an order to take an action rather than permission. However, in the world of endless litigations and poor court decisions, it is sought after for legal permission in more times than necessary by original intent.
There was a perfectly working FISA law, that not surprisingly was enacted after the Nixon administration in order to prevent abuses like the NSA wiretaps. It clearly states it's the only way to conduct domestic spying, and it doesn't even require probable cause to start the investigation, just as long as evidence is provided to a secret court within a week of the start of the taps. The whole NSA program was running against this law, and if not for the NY Times, the program would still be functional.

I am not worried about such wiretaps as designed to be used. I am however of an individual with some perverse sense of reason, to abuse the tools. Thing is, it is illegal for the workers to do such things for personal reasons. It doesn’t matter if the NSA has a program to access the information or not. Please don't think like a lib . You're better than that.
That's exactly the point. The reason the FISA law was enacted in the first place was to provide both accountability and oversight. The NSA program was entirely secret, with no oversight at all. Which one you think was more likely to be abused?

It was absolutely illegal for the people prying into Joe’s records. That did not stop them from doing it.
It was absolutely illegal for this administration to go around FISA.

My indignation comes from your sudden outcry for privacy, when you backed up perhaps the most flagrant violation of privacy laws in this country since Nixon. As a matter of fact, if a program like the NSA would have been discovered under a Democrat administration I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever you would be crying like a little baby.
I'm not defending what happened with these Joe files. I'm pointing out that the last person that should be crying about it is you.

Then why does it matter if oversight doesn't work?

Please keep on track here. We disagree with FISA. Fine. Was it reasonable for Joe's records to be gone over by the people who did it? At least with FISA, and the way it is intended to be used, it is reasonable.

Have any examples of an individual having his life turned upside down by FISA like Joe did? If anyone abused the tools withing FISA to do like they did to Joe, I would say throw then in jail too.
