I would say very few conservatives live off other people's taxes. They would be hypocrites. Maybe a RINO, but not a conservative. The few examples you can find I'll bet are short term situations that the programs were initially meant for. True that. I grew up in SC and GA. You should see the line for welfare checks in Augusta. Guess what its not just minorities in it, there are a lot of poor white trash picking up money for cheap beer and smokes, including some of my white trash family members who all vote Republican.
They may be red states, but I'll place good money that the ones you speek of vote democrat/liberal rather than conservative/republican.

I can understand WC's frustration. I mean, compare western Oregon to eastern Oregon. The conservatives in the east have built world-class technological metropolises like Baker City, while all the liberals in Portland are welfare-collecting trailer trash who contribute nothing to society. You never hear people say, "Ooh, what a great city Portland is," while most people think Baker is the archetypical modern urban center. Yet the leeches in Portland collect the fruits of Baker City's hard work and ingenuity.

Portland used to be a far better city than it is now. It grew and prospered under conservatives in the past, and then it was Californicated. I remember Portland 40 years ago. So much has changed.

The Republican base is the rural parts of the country. Fact.
Southern and rural states (Utah, Idaho, etc) typically vote Republican. Fact.
These same states receive more federal dollars than they contribute. Fact.
Grab your demographics and voting patterns to rationalize your way out of facts. Republicans, like any other political party worth their salt, are just as hypocritical and a drain on society at large than anyone else.
You'll never admit such a thing. Thats what makes you a blind partisan, thru and thru. Youre a loyal soldier of the RNC, thru thick and thin, even in the face of fact, research, reason and logic.
