Who the cares. Why do people always bring the 96 Bulls for comparison?
The Celtics are currently the defending champions and own the league's best record at 17-2. I believe they are the first defending champion this decade to open the following season 17-2...as the best team in the league record-wise, they are in as good position as any to catch MJ's '96 Bulls. They are first in fewest opponent PPG allowed and opponent FG%.
Looking forward to the Spurs vs Celtics 2009 Finals.

Interesting valuation, but I'd take KG over Pip 10 times out of 10... Not saying Pippen was a slouch, but he was very much helped by Jordan...

probably because they are the best. everyone wants to and to be compare(d) to the best.
i love how this guy starts this thread after the lakers lose so he can say the celtics have the best record..
i think the lakers have as much chance as the celtics of catching the bulls record.
but i dont really want them..
i want the lakers to lose more game so they can learn from them and prepare for the playoffs. just like how the lakers lost today to the pacers.. they shud learn that they need to play 48 minutes of effort on defence and offence to be the best.
spurs celtics???? hahahah...only in the regular season, spurs dont have a chance in in gracing the finals floor for many years to come.. end of a era!!
I recall the laker team in 01/02 started 17-1 after their first ring......
