Why not? they already paid for it!
Here's what I know about Obama's stance on space exploration:
1. He wants to cut defense spending substantially...and a large pct of our defense spending goes towards the Space Program.
2. He long ago said he wanted to delay the Constellation Program(to return to the moon), by as much as 5 years.
3. He's going to cancel the Shuttle replacement.
One thing is for certain.....they'll be speaking Chinese on the moon...nice voting slick.
Why not? they already paid for it!
It's spelled "oops".Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 2 (2 members and 0 guests)
whottt, baseline bum
You have the right to say what you want, but your at ude towards science is trailer park . You're taking a completely asinine stance that advancing human knowledge is a waste of time. Besides, if it wasn't for the government putting huge money into science we'd have no Silicon Valley and none of those jobs.
Whott, you really are the biggest partisan on this forum. McCain also said he was slashing defense spending. Don't lecture me on who I voted for when you picked someone just because she gave you wood.
Uh McCain said he was going to cut the pork out of the defense spending...he didn't say he was going to ad-hoc cut defense spending...like Obama did.
In fact McCain made it clear he wasn't even going to apply his economic freeze to defense spending.
I can't believe you are trying to pass this off as a slight difference...McCain flat out said he considered the space program absolutely essential to our National Security....
Dude's a pilot...he loves the Space Stuff.
Obama OTOH thinks the Space Program is wasteful when people are out of jobs...he's right in tune with mouse on this one....not that he's actually going to create any jobs with his cuts...but that's what he likes to say he's going to do.
Uh....the space program was a pretty big issue to me, I know I mentioned it a few times on the political forum. No one was paying any attention...they were too busy calling the McCain supporters a bunch of bible thumping idiots that think the earth is only 5000 years old....Don't lecture me on who I voted for when you picked someone just because she gave you wood.
A prime example of the ignorance of bigotry if ever there were one.

Next thing you're going to do is be surprised to find out is that Obama is about a complete and total phobe....
Nice job, lib.
The only big issue with you was your rants about how Palin was mistreated by everyone.
Well she was...you know that thread about how students like cheat steal and still feel good about their ethics?
Want to bet on the candidate the majority of them supported?
That kid that hacked her email probably took that survey![]()
Anyway...I have zero desire to turn this into a political discussion...I just got kinda pissed off when I saw you going on about the Space Progam...
Then why did you turn it into one?
Yeah, your hunches have been gold. How'd that McCain landslide work out?
Because you going on about the Space Program pissed me off.
![]()
Not the same thing...besides, no one is right all the time, and I don't even want to be.
Good going Whottt ! you keep baseline busy with politics, let mouse take a break from having to use his best smack on bashing NASA any further! your the puppet master, and the master baiter!
![]()
I don't know how politics got into this....lol but in baseline's defense, I don't think who he voted for should play into a factor whether or not they support space exploration, because although space exploration IMO is a facsinating and promising area, the candiates obviously wanted to display to the general public solutions to immediate problems/areas of interest and for the most part the general public is not as interested as in space exploration as they are in other things.
Yeah, great smack mouse.... linking finding a precursor to life where no one expected it to be to finding a pack of Sweet N Low was a legendary critique of NASA.
Looks like baseline is all about starting , maybe get someone's goat in the process. I have yet to see him, or any other Bush lover in this topic justify NASA's spending,
They found Sugar!!!
Great all we need now is some..........

I want to know how a sugar molecule can be found 26,000 light years from earth but no one can find Osama Bin Laden.
Revolutionized Solar Panel technology nearly overnight in the 1960s.
Have any host of past, current and future projects concerning the confirmation or cancellation of long held theoretical science (namely General Relativity, Big Bang, Univeral Inflation, multiple dimensions, etc).
You can thank NASA for our current generation of ICBMs. The world is welcome.
How about the easiest one that affects every American, everyday that I didnt want to lead with...
Satelites and all their varied fuctions. GPS, cell phones, national defense, battlefield management and intel, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc....
Since you have calmed down your indignance for this one post, I'll return the courtesy.
The undertakings that NASA even thinks about, much less actually strives for revolutionize the world in ways we, the average citizen, wouldnt understand or care about until they put it in packages and sell it for less than $1000.
The sheer magnitude of a planned human expedition to Mars is to our current generation what the telephone was to Bell's. The human condition and the social sciences have benefitted immensely from NASA's ventures and jaunts into space. Human reproduction and the basic physical and emotional needs of a human being are addressed, observed, analyzed and spoon-fed to the rest of the world thru the unique isolation and lifelessness of space.
The philosophical principles and scientific theories on the basics of our creation and ultimate end are only explained thru the lense of a telescope in space.
To question what space does for us as humanity is to question what religion does for humanity. Only NASA is an actual applied science to the highest possible order of any generation, ever. NASA and the world's other space programs are a testament to our humanity, a rite of passage in the search for the ultimate truth.
How one could question such an activity is beyond me.
Well, youre right. You dont faze me...no one does really. But I answer to my criticisms and leave it at that. BTW, I am in no league of my own...not in my mind or any other.Your the one with your head all up NASA's ass you must be in a league of your own, and therefore my should not faze you one iota.
Ooooook...When you can produce photos of you with a real female? then you can talk. Until then, your just another Tpark.
Oh thank God! w/o my daily solar panel I would not be able to function.
Do you even know anyone who has Solar panels? Never mind as anal as you are I'm sure you can locate at least one of your tree hugging pals you see once a month at the Radio shack expo to support you.
When was the last time you went to church?Have any host of past, current and future projects concerning the confirmation or cancellation of long held theoretical science (namely General Relativity, Big Bang, Univeral Inflation, multiple dimensions, etc).
What world? ICBMs are Nuclear missiles that only destroy the earth. You can thank NASA for our current generation of ICBMs. The world is welcome.
Way to put your foot in your mouth that time. No wonder your excited about a pack of sugar on Mars you may be looking for a new planet to live on after your precious ICBMs have destroyed the planet.
And By the way the ICBMs have been around since the 50s you are really digging deep to desperately justify your NASA pagan God you seem to worship.
I know this may be a blow to your over inflated ego to have some unemployed hippy with a 10th grade education school you but......How about the easiest one that affects every American, everyday that I didnt want to lead with...

The idea of a satellite was thought of more than 300 years ago by Isaac Newton,
http://www.smgaels.org/physics/97/CMATHIEZ.HTM
But it wasn't until the 1950's that technology had progressed far enough to be able to use the idea that Isaac Newton had. Finally, on October 4th, 1957 the Soviet Union launched the first satellite into Earth orbit - it was called Sputnik, not NASA!

Wow I feel like i just gave birth to an Orbit magazine (written by Kramer)Since you have calmed down your indignance for this one post, I'll return the courtesy.

I really think your either low on medication or you need to put down the pocket protector and go to the park and meet a female and get in touch with reality brah! At this point I am not sure what has more space our galaxy or that dusty area between your ears.
EDITED: Nevermind, you arent funny and you arent worth it. I have had more engaging conversations with Rosetta Stone. Here I thought you werent being indignant.

The following quotes are made by someone who claims they are highly educated, and wants to be known as a respectable adult here in the club.
Youre an idiot,
Thats the weakest I ever heard. As if I give a flying about what some washed up, wanna be comic who frequents teenage social sites thinks about me or my life.Desperate doesnt begin to explain your inferiority complex associated withanyone who takes you to task for being an ignorant stain on society.Collecting unemployment too for some "injury" that still "haunts" you today. I presume? What these quotes have to do with Sugar in space? I will never know, but I think we all can tell who really has scoreboard, do the math.Loser, get a job.
Look brah I may have went to far saying you need a female, ok i was way out of line thinking that is why your such a EThug with people. So I will give you a pass on you talking about my education, not having a job, being a loser,a wannabe comic, and a few others... But if your that determine to have a smack off ? and since you claim my smack is weak ? (which I yet to begin to use any real smack) then you should have no problem meeting me in the TRoll forum lets say around 11ish?
