Damn, what a great game to bet at. I definitely got my money's worth on that one.

My girlfriend (not a huge sports fan) had only been to one NBA game before (mavs vs. clips) and thought it was boring.

She couldn't believe how loud and crazy it was tonight. This felt like a playoff game and was fun as .

Tons of Spurs fans there tonight.

The Mavs shot lights out and couldn't pull away even when the Spurs were struggling. The crowd tried their best to help the Mavs pull away, but they couldn't do it.

The Mavs also out-rebounded the Spurs tonight.

Great win when you get outrebounded and the Mavs shoot 52% from the field.

I was impressed with Bonner tonight - he played well.

Pop waited WAAAYYYY too long to start doubling Dirk who couldn't miss the first 3 quarters.

How the did JJ Barea get so good all of a sudden??? Great move by Pop to put Bowen on him in the fourth.

Jason Kidd shot the ball better than I have ever seen.

Thank God Terry was off a little bit.

Mason has an incredibly quick stroke and I am confident about his future.

Finley still sucks balls. Why is he getting any minutes?

Duncan is the MF'n man. Damp played good D on him and it was like Damp wasn't even there.

    Tony was ing money.

Manu still looks a little rusty, but made some key 3s.

Dallas fans and ownership have the biggest case of penis envy for the Spurs franchise. Every timeout, there is a "Mom, don't let your babies grow up to be Spurs fans." video or some gay ass video with Ginobili wearing tights dancing. , even before the game, the gay ass MC went back into the locker room and was talking to Bass and flopped onto the ground trying to "prepare Bass for Ginobili". It's pretty pathetic, but hilarious that they have that much envy of the Spurs.

Manu does look a little slow. I dont know if hes not pushing into 3rd gear or its a sign of some regression.

With the way this division and conference are this season, tonight WAS a playoff game. THE SUNS ARE THE EIGTH SEED RIGHT NOW!!! THE SUNS!!! Crazy. Great game (probably even better to witness in person no doubt), and much needed win. Good job representing in D-Town.

Manu definitely seemed off tonight...he had a hard time hitting. I don't think he's slower though. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention.

idk but manu just doesnt look like his normal self. Maybe its thats hes playing more with Tim and Tony and hes not having to carry the offensive load as usual.

But IMO he just looks like hes slowed down for some reason. Hopefully im wrong

Another thing....Manu missing that layup at the end of the 1st OT seemed like Game 7 2006 all over again.

I need some blood pressure medication. I kept telling myself it was only a regular season game, but I ing hate losing to the Mavs living in this city.

That Manu shot at the end of the first OT was very reminiscent of the game winning shot he hit against the Suns in game 1 of the playoffs last year.

.....well, he did finish that one, but still, I thought it was going in!

If I was giving out grades, I'd give Tim an A, Tony a B+ (for being 5/8 from the FT line), and Manu a C.

Thanks for the observations. I'm glad you had fun at the game. Yeah something's still not right about Manu. Hopefully he's still just trying to get in shape and not regressing. On another note awesome game from Timmy and Tony.

Bonner was very good and has become our best big man. Weird to say that after the start of the season. Manu is off and does seem to be pushing it. Hopefully, it is just rust and not physical. Defense was not tight enough to start the game and that got the Mavs rolling. This game did feel like a playoff game. Very nice win and showed that we finally have some offensive chops after a couple of seasons of depending on the big 3. Mason and Bonner needed more shots tonight. They need to recognize that he can really fill it up when he is hitting. That makes the leads that much easier.

The last time I went to the AAC (Game 3 of the 2006 WCSF), some lovely Mavs fan spit on my then-girlfriend's 13-year-old daughter. At least that didn't happen to you.

I'm glad to see that the envy of the Spurs remains a constant. Did they play "The Manu Flop," to go along with "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Spurs Fans?"

The Spurs were fortunate the Mavs stopped going to Barea to create offense in OT.

Bowen was incredible on Dirk there in OT and that 3-pointer by Bruce when Dirk left him open, with the Spurs down 124-125, was HUGE.

The Spurs just out-executed the Mavs down the stretch and really did well in points off turnovers and on fast break situations.

Nice. That's pretty much all that needs to be said about a Spurs win over the Mavs in the 20th game of a season. All the extra "f your team" and thoughts that one team owned the other are bizarre. It was a good game and the team that executed better won tonight. If anything, the game opened the eyes of some pundits that may be quick to write off either team. As it stands in the West right now, it's the Lakers #1 and everyone else clamoring to take that #2 spot. It's conceivable to think either of these teams could hold that position come playoff time.

    Wu-Tang.

is exactly what I thought. Spurs just wanted it more. Was surprised Manu missed that shot at end of game. Was sure he would put that one in from so close.

The cool thing about that Bowen 3 was they passed it up the first time, Pop saw it and yelled at the team to re-do the play, Timmy set it back up and the mavs left bowen wide ass open the 2nd time.

Manu will be fine. Nobody plays at 100% all the time. He just had an off night shooting the ball. It happens.

Don't you think it pisses off a lot of Mav fans to see thousands of Spurs fans wearing Spurs jerseys at their house? It's always great to see that!

When Mav fans wear their jerseys in San Antonio....they just get laughed at! When Spur fans wear their jerseys in Dallas....you can just feel the envy!

With the exception of Manu being a little rusty, this was a classic Spurs win.
Tony and Tim coming through, a big 3 by Bruce. The Spurs should continue to get better and I hope Hill and Mason find ways to contribute every night, it helps their confidence which will be huge in the playoffs. Speaking of playoffs, even though we got Hill and Mason, Manu will always be the X factor for the Spurs, if he's healthy he rises to the occasion and becomes a beast.

he still had a pretty big night. He filled up the box score, and was very active on defense and crashing the boards, not to mention he had some slick assists.
His shot was a bit off, he missed a few he normally makes, but nothing to worry about.

I was at the game too. Your observations are spot on!

Here are a few of my own:

Everyone was way into the game. Very much a playoff atmosphere. All were standing for the last 5 minutes and both overtimes.

Spurs did have trouble staying in front of Barea. It's almost like they were either shocked or didn't believe he could get into the paint against them.

    Dirk is still an assassin.

Mavs have slightly "toned-down" their in-game presentation. No more rap music at the start of every fricking possession. Though they now have 2 mascots.

    Cessna "Turtle" Terry is still a cheap-shot, punk-ass .

Bonner's shooting and hustle surprised even the locals. So much so that many were yelling at the Mavs to not leave him open. Many were asking me, "who's that guy?"

Udoka made only a cameo appearance. Would've liked to have seen how effective he would've been against the smaller lineups the Mavs threw out.

Erick Dampier has the hands of Roberto Duran.

There are no words to describe the performances by the Big Three.

Bowen's clutch 3 sent most fans streaming for the exits.

Mavs do have some very hot cheerleaders.
