He took a little too much liberty in his current badass status though. Should he really be taking the most critical shots of the night? Then again, Dirk was pussing out every opportunity he could so I can't complain too much about Barea.

As a Spurs fan, I have to give respect to J.J. Barea. I watched him closely from last night's game. He can flat-out play ball!

I would lol so hard if that really happens! Barea WAS a surprise, now he is becoming a reality. What's even more surprising in all of this is that he is doing this in the 4th quarter, he has become a sort of game closer for the Mavs. He was mostly anonimous throughout the game yesterday, but that simply took over in the 4th. Just the fact that Raja, Kobe and Bowen have been asked to defend him shows how much of this is actually a reality now.
that 3 yr deal @ 1.5mil+ per isnt looking so bad now and the 3rd year is a team option

Saw him for the first time yesterday and I already hate that little y . If I was an apposing team I would close line the out of that little !!
That would suck if apposing teams did that to him.
Living in Denton, I get to see a LOT of this kid, regardless of whether it's against my will or not. He's QUITE impressive and has already shown to be terrifyingly clutch. If only he weren't wearing that ugly ass jersey, I could REALLY get on board w/ him...

Yep yep.....he can be a nice little PG or an undersized SG......not sure about permanent starter, but rotation player for sure.

I hadn't paid much attention to Barea, but I was kind of hoping it was all hype. Looks to be a pretty solid pickup.
