Getting rid of Sean Singletary for nothing actually helped their backup PG situation considerably.
I guess Dragic earned the backup PG spot with his performance against the mavs last thursday

not sure what you mean by this, he's a load of a potential (and a personal friend of mine)

    -Mars
Have you seen him play at all this year? They'd have been better off running 4 on 5 whenever Nash was on the bench.

That's good he's your friend and all, but he hasn't exactly done much of note in his time in the NBA.

Now the Suns have really no depth in the front court.

On the bright side for Amare, he gets to play in the final 5 minutes of blowout games to get his stats.

which has been less than a year?

give a guy a break. come on. he's a rookie. he WILL be a good scorer in the NBA if a team gives him a chance.

Just remember, he came from the same place that produced Roger "Money" Mason Jr.

We will see how quickly Robin Lopez can learn the NBA game now. Dudley can play some 4, but I still want a back up 4/5 with NBA experiance.

yeah, he'll be a good scorer, what they needed him to be was a facilitator. i don't like him leaving for what his potential was.. but he usually just went and dribbled around alot.

Well I guess the Suns wanna go back to Suns version 2005. Cuz this is definetly not going to help them on defense at all, and they have no bench either. They'll go about 6-7 deep every night. Sorry Suns, you'll get scoring, but not be able to stop anyone else at the same time. Loss.

This trade just killed the Phoenix Suns.

Their perimiter defense was already shakey to begin with.

Now you trade your best one, for a one dimensional ball hog shooting guard.

Getting back Jared Dudley was solid, but come on.

IMO, this trade just killed the Suns chances of contending, and they just became easier for the Spurs to match up against.

Everyone who thinks this is going to effect our perimiter D has obviously not watch Raja Bell play this season.

Another thing I've noticed is J-Rich that KILLED the Mavs was J-Rich of almost 2 yrs ago, I've seen some Bobcats games and hes not as great/money/clutch as he was in that series anymore.

This is only good if the Suns draw the Mavs in the playoffs ... which is unlikely since both will probably be low seeds or one of them might miss the postseason altogether

I hate this trade from the Mavs perspective. The Suns will be better, their D was bad already, and their perimeter offense was also really bad. With Nash along him, JRich will be very good.
I was hoping that if we traded Howard, we could get Richardson. So this is really a bad trade even as a lost opportunity for the Mavs.
I don't like today, I think both the Suns and Hornets got better in the long run.
