I made a few adjustments to fit your style. I hope you don't mind.
Oh, the sweet smell of gym
With your squeaking sneakers
And sweat-drenched locker rooms
Oh, anticipation!
I live in the time of release
to rim and back again!
To run!
To be wet with sweat
To bend down and touch lines
To reach to sky, oh my!
I long for goal and crisp cold air
Oh basketball!
The poetry
The Pass
Red-faced, full-throat coach
I see you, too.
Oh, yes, I love thee!
Basketball.
Man created you but you feel from the heavens.
You are music
Rhythm and harmony
You make me sing
You make me strong
You make me agile
To be alive is to play the game.
And to play the game is to be alive.
I made a few adjustments to fit your style. I hope you don't mind.
Poetry is like excuses. They're for sissies, and no one wants to hear that .
Sounds a little soft there homie.![]()

Basketball and Art
Basketball is not a created art form. It's beauty is a byproduct of necessary skills to remain effective at its objective--winning. The body must endure, through intense exercise, while the game demands decisions, efficency of movement, focus, and teamwork. This is why its best athletes appear to be artists.
All these skills are measured against equal will of the opposing team unlike a artistic sport like Ballet or figure skating. Basketball is a game of possessions and therefore its defense is a tool for winning including: boxing out, rebounding, playing passing lanes, and deny positioning on the floor. We are not perfect and therefore these steps can correct any number of mistakes or fatigue.
I love basketball and would love to hear more comments on this or other subjects relating to the game.
