1000000000% False.
on realGM there is a rumor for a trade between rockets and lakers for
vladrad and chris mihm for shane battier and chuck hayes
http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=861366
I would nut myself. Why would Houston even do this? 100% bogus.
they lack size in BACKUP center and they dont have anyone that shoot the 3 ball
ALSO mihm is an expiring and vlad rad another year
why not... i heard it worked for memphis!!![]()
I sure hope it's true, but it isn't. I would take Deke over Mihm.
That would be witchcraft.
Memphis is one thing; their team sucks, but the Rockets actually had aspirations this season.
That wouldn't fix the Lakers point guard issues, but...
Fisher / Farmar
Bryant / Vujacic
Battier / Ariza
Gasol / Odom
Bynum / Hayes

It wouldn't make a lick of sense if there would be such a trade.
The Lakers should stop lowballing other teams in trades.
, they get a swingman who can defend and shoot the 3. It may work if the Lakers throw in a 1st round pick.
All these are just those "if they work" ideas.
.....and don't forget the Xmas gift that Memphis sent their way, last year, in Gasol.
The Lakers just sent a 8 million expiring, 1st round pick worth nothing when the pick was the 28th pick and Javaris Crittenton(someone tell me what he did for that season), you know the Grizzlies' management is pathetic. The replacement they got for Pau Gasol the next year was his brother Marc Gasol.
All of you should check out Stephen A.Smith's comments about the trade. It was hilarious.
dont hate the management hate the game
MEM got exactly what they wanted out of the Lakers trade.
They are actually in decent shape right now, good little young team.
lol Rockets are not trading Battier for those two scrubs. Battier is a Morey favorite. He's the glue guy that holds the Rockets together. As a unit the Rockets defense and scoring go way up when Battier is in the lineup.
You seriously didnt stop reading after that point?on realGM.....
If that was the only offer they were going to get, maybe...
But other teams could (and would) have offered more for their franchise player. There was absolutely no reason to pull the trigger that early.
It's not like the Lakers were going to back out of that offer.
Any positives that Memphis has right now are based on Rudy Gay & OJ Mayo - completely independent of the deal that they made last year.
You're an idiot. They were looking to do a straight salary dump. Kwame was the biggest expiring on the market, they weren't going to do any better than that. They now have a legitimate C on their team that fits in with their style much better than Pau did IMHO. Marc is a bruiser.
Marc Gasol is playing pretty good.
I still don't get that Memphis trade? Who is the GM over there? I know they had better deals on the table from other teams. They got pretty much nothing.
They wanted big expiring contracts and scrubs whom they could release or keep on the end of the bench.
it WAS a big lopsided deal but memphis got what they wanted.
fact of life in the nba is that big expiring contracts are sometime worth their weight in gold.
I'll make this simple. Some teams actually get big contracts of crappy players that will expire the following year to dump salary.....
and other teams will get big contracts of crappy players who they will owe 20 mill+ for the next 3-4 years and make a great franichise to a slow, old, over the hill franchise causing it to go from 1st place to 1st round exit and dooming the team for the next 2-3 years, firing thier coach and losing thier iden y.
HA HA funny
