Then you weren't reading the forums, it's as simple as that. You weren't solely doing anything. lol
Nah. But you can jump on the bandwagon now like everyone else. Go ahead, search my post - I been lovin' me some Bonner for quite a while.
I didn't see you anywhere when I was solely defending him, so don't give yourself any credit at all.
Then you weren't reading the forums, it's as simple as that. You weren't solely doing anything. lol
Hmmm.....No.
But for your viewing pleasure, I bumped a post/poll from September-
http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/show...ss+Bust+Bonner
Did you even vote?!?
And you call yourself the original Bonner fan.![]()
I never called myself the original Bonner fan, and I didn't have internet at that time anyway. I was not a Bonner fan when he was in Toronto, so I would have never called myself that.
But I gave him mad props for his game against HOU when we came from behind and won, only for countless souls to say "Every single player can ahve one good game, he BLOWS!!1111111". Where were you then? Or when I made a thread that very same night to congratulate him on his player and Pop for unbenching him?
When the going was toughest for Bonner, aka DURING the season not in september, no one but me was blindly homeristic. Hence back when I was the only Matt Bonner homer(I know whottttt has always been on the bonner bandwagon, but he was not around for some reason)
No one was giving matt bonner any chance when he got doghoused early on. Dare I go back and search your posts during that time period?
I love the Bonner love, but seriously, no one gave him a fighting chance and I was just as surprised as everyone else when Pop put him in the 4th against HOU that fateful night. So don't act like you knew all along because not even a blind Bonner homer thought he would have gone through a stretch this great.
Okay I take that back but I didn't think pop would've allotted him the minutes to go through a stretch this greatHere's to being happy about being wrong.
It's cool Zosa. I'm just giving you a hard time. Anyways, props to Matt for his stellar play.
only?
I was/am a Bonner homer too
It's cool, again I'm lovin' the Bonner Love from everyone, and I think Bonner is too
I think this season's adjustments in coaching style from pop are something hardly any NBA coach could pull off, on a similar side note.
This is your only Bonner post since the season began:
don't lie to a fellow Bonner lover!!! (and sequ wasn't right!!)
Though I will give you props predicting Bonner's saviorality ... or whatever.

Slomo must be delighted to have to handle such a mailbox.
The bonner thing si so funny. I mean if you're reading ST since he arrived, the guy has been everything from Jesus to Satan. Deep deep Pop's doghouse, starter performing well...
I really do hope, he can play that well for most of the year. His rebounding and ability to spread the floor is truly the thing that takes the spurs to another level. When you can get that from your starting center (supposedly the weakest position in our rotation), you know you're in good shape.
Hey zosa, can you count me as an original Bonner believer? I didn't stop believing til around the 3rd or 4th game this season, forgive me!!! If only I'd held faith...![]()
We'll see how he pans out against David West on tuesday...![]()
Dude its cool, I was just playing totally with that comment. The more on the Bonner bandwagon the better![]()
I know. I just wish I could've been someone you mentioned(outside of whottt), cuz I did like him all last season and this preseason, even though no one here or in real life would agree with me. Stupid Horry should've retired after '07.
Jesus, do you want a cookie? You supported Bonner! Who gives a ?
One day you will love him too.
and apparently, half hearted jokes are taken too seriously here.
wow you're right, I thought I voiced my homerism more often, I often get half way through typing a post and then the ADD takes over, but I have been an unwavering supporter of Bonner since he got here
Dude all I know is you don't have on Sam. (I think he was the one with the inside Bonner info although I may be confusing him)
I rocked my "Bonner Christ" sig a long time ago but I can't seem to find the graphic anymore. I'll probably need to rephotoshop it at some point.
In any event, any of you claiming to be be the driver of the Bonner Bandwagon are funny.
BTW Excellent MS Paint skills on display in this thread.
Exactly. I don't even see any of the names of the people who claim to be Bonner's number one fan in the original thread when the Spurs traded for Bonner. Like I said in that thread, Bonner was one of my favorite players even before the trade and I liked the idea of him starting at center next to TD.
I also have to give myself props for saying Bonner's rebounding would improve. Since coming from Toronto, he went from averaging ~6 rebounds per 40 minutes to about 9.5 rebounds per 40 minutes.
Seriously though, I'm glad Bonner has finally got his chance. After it looked like Pop gave up on him and Bonner gave up on himself, I thought his time with the Spurs was over. Once in the doghouse that far, hope seemed lost because there's no precedence of a player finding his way back into Pop's good graces.
Thankfully it looked like I gave up on the Pop and Bonner relationship too soon and Bonner can go back to role I first envisioned of him.
That's correct.
Sam is definitely the driver of the Bonner bandwagon.
I don't know where I belong on the Bonner bandwagon, but I do now that I had to take a cold shower after the Spurs traded for him.

That Bonner thread had some gems. Including this:
