HD Receiver for who? Time Warner, DirecTV, Dish Network, or AT&T U-Verse
Call your cable company, the receiver will come with whatever HD service you purchase from them...

You mean over the air hd? in that case you just need a antenna as pretty much all new TVs have a digital receiver built in. No need for a converter box like the old TVs.
Sucks your TV didn't come with a built in Tuner...what is it...just a big ass monitor...
If you bought it brand new it has a built in tuner. If you want to get HD from Time Warner I believe it's free, but it might be 5.00
I have a DVR and there was no additional cost between the standard DVR and the HD DVR, but I suppose it depends on your current configuration.

What HD do you want? Like over the air HD basic channels or you want like HD premium channels?
Just do a channel search and you will pick up free HD channels. (Time Warner)
