Hill Focused on Getting Better

We all know the saying that a picture says a thousand words. Sometimes just a glance can serve the same purpose.
About two and a half hours prior to the Spurs' recent home game with Oklahoma City, assistant coach Chad Forcier was on the court with Spurs rookie guard George Hill. They were working on pick and roll offense, going over the best ways to angle off screens and use the pick to the ballhandler's best advantage. The aspect of the drill that I noticed more than anything was the way Hill looked intently into the eyes of Coach Forcier when the coach was reviewing what they had just done.
The rookie wasn't looking around the arena to see who else was around. He wasn't saying, "I got it coach, let's move on." He was fully focused on the information that was being given to him and was soaking it all in.
That's one of the reasons why Hill has drawn compliments from the coaching staff and his veteran teammates. He's focused on becoming a solid NBA player and improving with each practice session and each game he plays.

It's good to know that he's not distracted by the clubs, the chicas and Taco Cabana.
Un- ing-believable that the TOOL that does the rookie ratings for cnnsi doesn't even have him on the list of 10, or the "others".
