Bonner was due for a bad game, just like the rest of the team..

we clearly outplayed them tonight..we tore their defense up with open shot after open shot..you have nights where you can't make them, and where David West is making multiple 3's instead..it happens..

I'm just sick of looking good against ty teams and then when we have an opportunity to prove ourselves, we don't. It's frustrating as .
In 2005 and prior we used to be great at winning the "big" games against +.500 teams. NO didn't even have Peja.

Our bench is severely overrated and the team has all but given up on driving to the basket.

    Ridiculous up of a loss.

Spurs had a win against a division rival and possible playoff opponent in their back pocket, and blew it because they panicked when nobody could make a shot.

After all this hullabaloo about the Spurs offense, the same droughts come to bite them in the ass.

It's not the end of the world, but I'm sick of going 5 minutes without a made ing basket when we're watching a professional basketball team.

Better regroup and get it together against Orlando, because the only thing worse than one loss is two.

I'd much rather beat New Orleans and lose to Orlando than vice versa.

    I really hate the Hornets.

Ginobili should look in the mirror over his passes and weak stupid ass shots before being pissed at anyone.

This was a game to say "F you, Hornets"; especially with the way they were treating us??!!? WTF? They were disrespecting us to the max and no one stepped up. We just watched them do it and then proceeded to choke away our lead.

Bonner missed a wiiide open 3, and it looked like Manu expected him to make at least that one; he looked surprised when it didn't go in

    Final: Hornets 90, Spurs 83
    By Joe Alexander

    FOURTH QUARTER

The Spurs made only three baskets in the last 11 minutes of the game. Their offensive collapse cost them in a 90-83 loss to the New Orleans Hornets.

Tyson Chandler made a pair of free throws with 2:13 left to put the Hornets in front 80-79 and give them the lead for good. The Hornets outscored the Spurs 18-4 to finish the game.

The Spurs are coming up empty on offense and their lead is gone. The Hornets lead 85-79 with 1:45 left in the game.

The Spurs have a 79-78 lead with 2:25 left. The Hornets have all the momentum. The Hornets' David West has hit back-to-back 3-pointers. The Spurs made only two baskets in the first nine minutes of the quarter.

Manu Ginobili is back in the game with 5:37 left. Expect him to remain in the game until it's decided.

The Spurs lead 77-72 midway though the fourth quarter. The Spurs are throwing lots of double-teams at Hornets guard Chris Paul and he sometimes looks frustrated.

The Spurs are struggling early in the fourth quarter with most of their starters on the bench. They lead 74-67 with 8:50 left. Expect to see Tim Duncan and Tony Parker back on the floor soon.

The Spurs opened the fourth quarter with George Hill, Manu Ginobili, Bruce Bowen, Matt Bonner and Kurt Thomas.

THIRD QUARTER; DUNCAN HELPS BUILD LEAD

The Spurs outscored the Hornets 12-5 to finish the third quarter and take a 70-63 lead into the final period. Tim Duncan had five points in the last 2:20 of the quarter.

Each of the last four field goals made resulted in a lead change. A Manu Ginobili currently has the Spurs in front 58-56.

The Hornets are on a 10-3 run. They cut what was a nine-point Spurs lead early in the second half down to 53-51.

The Spurs got the first two baskets of the second half on jumpers by Michael Finley and Roger Mason Jr. Matt Bonner got a dunk for his first basket of the the game and followed with a 3-pointer.

    SECOND QUARTER: DUNCAN'S 10,000TH REBOUND

Manu Ginobili scored 10 points in the second quarter to spark the Spurs to a 42-37 halftime lead. Tony Parker led the Spurs with 14 points, including their last five points of the half.

The Hornets' Chris Paul made a steal with 3:43 left in the quarter. That gives his a steal in an NBA record 106 consecutive games - passing former Spur Robertson who had a 105-game streak.

Matt Bonner has given the Spurs an offensive boost in the first half of several recent games. Tonight, however, he doesn't have it going. He missed his first four shots. Midway through the second quarter he is the only Spurs starter who hasn't scored.

The Hornets' Devin Brown hit a 3-pointer to give New Orleans a 26-23 lead.

Tim Duncan recorded his 10,000th career rebound with 7:45 left in the first half.

Ginobili made his first basket early in the second quarter. He followed that with a 3-pointer and the Spurs lead 23-20.

    FIRST QUARTER: HILL'S 3-POINTER

This is starting to shape up as a tough, defensive grind. George Hill hit a 3-pointer in the final seconds of the first quarter to give the Spurs a 15-14 lead.

This should be a learning experience for Hill. The Spurs rookie is in the game and matched up with Paul, perhaps the best point guard in the league.

Both teams are either playing tough defense or are not shooting well. The Spurs are shooting 29.4 percent and the Hornets are at 35.3 percent.

Ginobili is the first player off the Spurs' bench midway through the first quarter. Former Spur Antonio Daniels, in his third game with the Hornets since being traded from the Wizards, is in for New Orleans.

The Spurs' shots aren't dropping early and the Hornets are off to a 10-7 lead.

Bonner has the defensive assignment on the Hornets' David West, who is averaging 20.3 points per game.

That was a forgettable game for almost everyone. Only Bowen, Thomas, and Hill played worth a damn.

Finley, Bonner, and Mason all missed tons of open shots, Ginobli turned it over too many times, Paul got the better of Parker, and Duncan was swarmed by the defense and forced some things.

Big let down in the 4th quarter but chalk it up to a bad game and get ready for tomorrow night.
