you must be really proud of yourself, t park
If your a championship caliber team you put teams away you dont see the celtics and lakers giving up there leads in the 4th quarter they execute like a championship team does, spurs better get there crap together.
you must be really proud of yourself, t park
matt bonner 3-15 for 7 pts. that's why Spurs lost. i guess he was due. i liked his aggressiveness though especially around the basket. he went for dunks instead of half-ass attempts fabs is so infamous for.
Just fake the hit, he'll flop
What a pussy 3 pt attempting team we have become. When the shots are not dropping, put the damn ball on the floor and drive it to the rack. Bonner repeatedly, Findawg, Mason, everyone.
Entire last 10 minutes...
Then with 15 seconds left and down 7, Manu passes up the trey and drives it to the rack.![]()
Agreed. Spurs just looked intimidated in the 4th, like the Hornets told them they were going to get punked and they just nodded and bent over. Pop will rip into them though so they'll learn as usual.
The duck he was. His defense was horrible and his decision making was atrocious.
Should've known that if the game is on the in' 4-letter network, that the Spurs will find a way to lose that game.
Those last few minutes reeked of DOWNY SOFT play. Wide open 3's clanked and an inability to defend or garner needed offensive rebounds. Pop didn't use all his tools for this one. I don't know if it's to teach a lesson or that he just stuck with the small ball late. But to let a team go on a 13-0 run on you is inexcusable and for a team as defense minded as the Spurs, it happens at all the biggest games on National TV.![]()
Bonner's terrible shooting isn't why we lost, it contributed but it isn't the main reason.
I think the Spurs will destroy the Hornets in a playoff series. The Hornets defense was terrible. I don't expect the Spurs to have 4 bad shooting nights in a row. Overall I think this game wasn't a setback at all. Sometimes your shots just don't fall.
That's what makes me so mad. We have no killer instinct it seems. And yes, it is December so there is plenty of time to improve. But that doesn't make it any easier when it happens.
qurater? whats a qurater?
Very much so thank you.
"The Spurs made only three baskets in the last 11 minutes of the game."
I'll always have a hard time understanding why/how the Spurs manage to do again and again...
That's T park perfect english. Haha what a .
Even championship teams blow leads every now and then. The '03 team did that a lot. the lakers did it last year in game 5 in the finals.
Quarter jerkoff I'm typing on a goddamn phone. Go back to mixing your cyanide.
don't mention it
weak stupid ass shots?Shut the up T Park, you're embarassing yourself again. Manu's turnovers are always a , but he hustled like a mofo out there tonight, or is it you saw someone else diving for balls out there?
Bonner had a horrible game, and that's fine. One game means nothing, but it WAS a horrible game. You mouthing off every time someone points that out just makes you look like a jackass.
Nice excuse there English professor.![]()
You're typing on your phone to your quarterly jerkoff while making cyanide? what??
Use the soft comment Pop!
Drink draino and stfu dumbass.
Pop played Bonner way way too much.
KT deserved much more playing time. As bad as the offense was, I really think this forum overrated the Spurs when it comes to the O.
The team is much better on paper than they are on the court.
People need to CHILL. This game is a perfect example of why the regular season does NOT matter for Coach Pop. Here's why:
1) Bonner was cold, freezing cold. However, in order to keep Bonner's confidence up, Coach Pop told to shoot every time he was open. Also, he put him in during crunch time.
2) Kurt Thomas had his best defensive game tonight. If this game was in the playoffs, Thomas would of been in there for the majority of the second half no doubt, especially with a decent lead.
3) Manu would have been put in earlier in the 4th quarter in the playoffs.
Now for some game notes:
1) The Spurs played really good defense today, until a few lapses late in the game. The offense is what let them down.
2) It looks like double-teaming West was the best way to counter him. He killed us in the playoffs last year, and we were able to slow him down tonight.
3) We need to work on getting to the line. The Hornets was in foul-trouble early in the 4th quarter. With a lead, the Spurs could of easily sealed the game if they continued to attack the rim. This is when George Hill would be a major asset. However, Manu, Parker, and Duncan should have done that tonight.
4) It was good to see Coach Pop play Bonner despite his cold shooting. This will give him great confidence later in the season. Morever, this will prevent Bonner from measuring his play just from his shooting. He play good help defense today, and I have confident he will go off tomorrow against the Magic.
5) Chris Paul is a f*cking . I absolutely hate his antics. He caught pissed for nothing when Bonner accidently hit him. Even Duncan had to settle him down. I wished Bonner didn't go over and apologize. I would rather him go KG on him. Jeeezz...Also, to put me over the top, he knocked out the ball out of Mason's and at the end of the game. What a !
P.S. Again...people need to chill with Bonner. EVERYONE have off nights. Trust me. This will be a HUGE confidence builder for Bonner. I bet that in 8 out of 10 games in the rest of the season that you'll see the Bonner of the previous few games. If Pop would bench him in tonights game for bad shooting, Bonner will ultimately lapse into his timid play.
