We're a team that beats bad teams and loses to good teams. That's the definition of 45-37 and missing the playoffs in the West.
yep, i say either we make a trades, blow this up and clear cap space for 2010 even though that doesn't guarantee that we even get good FA, or we just tank this and try to get a high draft pick. Its easy to see that we won't be going anywhere as currently constructed, so no point in wasting time. I've been thinking that we do either 3 since last year but i guess its too hard for donnie and cuban to take their mav goggles off and see what us fans and non-fans see bout the team.

I think they understand the current state of the team, but it's not easy to rectify a huge mistake. Young pgs like Devin aren't exactly a dime a dozen, you can't just go out and get another one with a snap of your fingers. An ounce of prevention (keeping Harris) is worth a pound of cure (finding a young replacement just as good).

Well that is the problem, now we're stuck with kidd and I dont think he's going to be with us for too much longer. Where the are we going to get our starting PG of the future? It's not JJB so where would we get one? Draft , FA, or trade...

Kidd will sign with the Lakers or Cavs next summer for the MLE. So, Devin Harris, 2 first-round draft picks and cash for 1.5 seasons of mediocre basketball.

If I were a Spurs fan, I would be ing my pants with schadenfreude....

Anyone ever notice how the playing for the Mavs brings some sort of bad karma that makes guys play soft or "pussylike?" I mean we've always been regarded as soft through the years, but even Devin got all tatted up since he left and developed this "I'm ing taking this to the hoop, and you'll have to foul me to stop me" kind of at ude.

Trading Dirk for the expiring contracts/picks/young players options means tanking the next cycle.

For all of you saying that Kidd played a great game, in this great game of his, he still finished with less than what Harris averages. think about that!

He is done. If the Spurs didn't sign him in 03, with a much younger Parker, that should tell you something.

Actually Jason Kidd declined the offer (which BTW was a max or like a 18mill/year deal). I'm pretty sure we'd have lost Parker, Ginobili and we definitely wouldn't have won 2 more championships had we had Kidd on board.

Tim Duncan apparently threw a party at his house as Jason was almost about to sign the contract, but he backed off at the last moment. Now that is good karma and we've had quite a lot of it.

everybody not named dirk, jet and kidd is garbage. hear me out, kidd for harris was a huge mistake, but now that he is here, kidd is playing well. Just not well enough to justify shipping out harris.

you have to fire cuban--run that -face out of town.

Mavericks--we get rid of great point guards---Kidd, Nash, and Harris. But we make up for it by bringing them back when they're 47.

is this even surprising? SIgns were there well before LAST season. Only company men and blind homers keep buying into the bull .

Not even going into Harris for Kidd, but the fact that the mental midget, empty stats JHO is still on the team is almost as ing bad. I want to stab my eyes out everytime I see him pull up his stepback jumper and ballhog for the first two quarters, then check out like a pussy after halftime.

Only way for Cuban to redeem himself is to swindle another team for Jho.
