Here you go Mono.......oh yeah and you.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3790141

Free agent first baseman Mark Teixeira has reached agreement with the New York Yankees on an eight-year contract worth more than $170 million, a source involved in the negotiations tells ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney.

The Yankees swooped in on Teixeira on Tuesday when it was believed the Boston Red Sox or the Washington Nationals were the likeliest of his future employer. The Red Sox's offer was believed to be in the range of $170 million, and the Nationals reached out with an offer perhaps greater than that of Boston.

This is a match made in heaven. The biggest bag in baseball signs with the douchiest franchise in baseball.

He'll fail in New York like every other big name free agent does.

Now the Yankees have 2 overrated players who never win jack . As much as I liked the mid 90's Yankees who had so much heart... I now reverse it and have that much dislike for these bloated chokers.

you, Mark Teixeira. You planned on signing with those pinstriped bas s the whole time, but you and your agent drew this out for as long as possible. I hope you are absolutely miserable and suffer the same fate as your other fellow ex-Ranger on the other side of the infield. I hope you get booed by the sorry-ass fickle Yankees fans and never win a WS ring as long as you live. you!

They seem to sign guys like 3 seasons too late. Damon hasnt done there. Abreu sucks. Burnett will get hurt again. Sabathia will gain 50 lbs and suck ass. The Yankees is a good place to wind down your career and command some big money. I bet the Red Sox are saying....just kidding we didnt want you anyways and laughing at the yanks.

I hope the Yankees get really really good and sign just about every free agent and the discontent within the smaller markets leads to the collapse of MLB teams in those cities, and MLB turns into the Yankees playing the Red Sox, Dodgers and Giants. The players association will then be slapped

Guess the slumping economy isnt affecting the yanks. Now teams like the astros on the other hand cut Wigginton to free up some money off the budget, god it sucks to root for a team that doesnt overpay lol.

why does he get this much attention? He is a good player, but they are acting like he is one of the top players in the league the way they are cutting out of programming to break the news.

No offense to Rangers fans, but he played in Texas- the land of great hitting stats. You can bring a crack addict there and he hits .330

You don't need to project it. Now that the Yanks have both Tex and CC, all we will hear 24/7 is how great they are, how formidable they are, how great an organization they are, how they wasted no time after not making the playoffs in filling up their holes and becoming an instant contender again. ESPN stands for Everyday, Sucking Pinstriped Nuts.

After all of Cashman's talk about cutting at least some payroll, the Yanks payroll will actually be about $15-20 million higher next year...despite having over $50 million coming off the books from last year.

The 4 highest paid players will play on the same team...great f'ing economic system.

Its just sickening when you look at the yanks. I dont blame the players if I played good enough to be a pro ball player I would sign with them for a huge sum of money just to rape the system. Baseball needs a ing salary cap.
