Even if the Spurs had something the Warriors want, I don't think Pop would trade anyone on this team to the sinking ship that is the GSW.
Mason no doubt does fit this team good, im not denying that, but i do think that SJAX would make this team a WHOLE lot better.

Yeah but the Spurs don't need him. He's an extra swingman right now. So if they traded for SJax - they should trade two of our wings for him.
I can't see any possobility that happens. Tim Duncan's salary is 20m/yr which is just the same amount as Monta and Maggette combined, how the can we get Jackson and Biedrins along the way? This trade offer would be feasible if it was last year when Biedrins and Monta were both dirt cheap.
I also want such a trade because Tim is not as good as he used to be, at least those four warriors are gonna a lot more than Tim can do. Don also want this trade to come true in order to get fired by the warriors, but David Stern isn't gonna permit such a satantic trade.
Tim will go nowhere else.

Jax makes over 7 million. The 4 Spurs players together make 5.5 million.

This is all fun speculation and everything but our roster is pretty much set. I would love to have Capt. Jack as much as the next man, but it would mean giving up Finley, Mason or one of the big three as bait and that is not going to happen. Finley has Pop's heart and chemistry is starting to build with Mason and the rest of the offense.
And for the record...I'd take Capt. Jack over Mason without hesitation. The reasons shouldn't have to be explained.

Maybe some of them NBA players who have played and succeeded on other teams, are now getting a taste of what Ive always thought Nellie is. Not an NBA type coach. How he has remained in this league through so many years is funny stuff. Like Ive said jokingly, Nellie has something on someone like Stern or close. Gotta play defense to win the whole thing in just about every league in any sport I know. Maybe old age is catching up to him as well. Lets see if he makes thru this year. And I mean this year not this season.
Finley has to ok any and all trades, and you know he won't accept a trade to a noncontender this late in his career.
I would prefer Wright, but we have a greater chance to get Randolph than we do Wright.........even if we have no chance of getting Randolph either.
So here is the trade that could work moneywise
Thomas, Udoka, Vaughn, Mahinmi, Splitter's rights for SJax and Randolph.
After the trade, re-sign Ahearn and try to sign Courtney Sims and Mutombo.
C - Bonner, Mutombo, Sims
PF - Duncan, Randolph, Oberto
SF - Jackson, Bowen, Tolliver
SG - Mason, Manu, Finley
PG - Parker, Hill, Ahearn
If Finley was included in a trade couldn't we do a Brent Barry, Antonio McDyess type of trade and Finley gets bought out?
No more guards. We need post help. We have enough guards to start a security firm. Just get duncan some help. Randolph is a beast but he's allergic to defense and could be lazy at times he's oil and the spurs is water.
Captain Jack was my favorite all time option for defending Novitzki.
