On ESPN radio yesterday (Dec 24), I heard Robert "The Chief" Parish say that Tim Duncan was at the top of his short list of players he likes to see play.

    Bravo Chief!

On the down side, I heard them interview The Iceman (Gervin), and he did not even mention the Spurs in his interview.

To which, after hearing "The Chief's" response, Kuselias and IIRC Wiley were almost shocked.

Then Kuselias said something like: "You know, Duncan would have been a perfect fit with you guys Chief. He would have been a really good player to come off the bench."

He was dead serious when he said that.

Yea, I forgot about that part. ESPN radio really sucks. I had it on while wrapping X-mas presents.

a lot of legends have Duncan on their lists when it comes to players they watch..

Kareem said Duncan's his favorite player to watch..Russell said Duncan was one of his favorite..McHale has said it..a lot of other guys as well..

the annoying thing is usually the reactions from the annoying media members..when Kareem said it on Best Damn Sports Show Period(don't ask me why I was watching it lol), the host was shocked and said "Duncan?!"..

This is because when you think about it most big men could be Duncan. He does not have great size like Shaq or Yao. He is not athletic like Howard or Stoudamire and yet here he is the greatest power forward of all time because he simply knows how to play.

those who said tim is in his prime all have shown a clear sign that they have never watched tim's games of the past years. Tim is no longer as good as the former Duncan but He is still way better than Yao and DH.

Duncan is shorter than Yao while less athletic than DH and Stoudmire, but Tim has a clever brain that enables him to do what he should do on the court. Yao and DH seldom know how to play because they have nothing but body.

Pathetic meat sacks, Yao and DH.

    Duncan? I'm shocked!

One of the five all-time most honored and decorated players in NBA history.

    Shooter of cool bank shots.

    A shot-blocker.

Actually puts the team first in a team sport.

Actually went to college and graduated in four years with honors.

Took a real major, psychology, not underwater boll-weevil widdling.

Got married before he had kids.

Doesn't get arrested or trash talk, doesn't show-boat, and is a role model on how to get the most from your ability.

Heck, I'd be shocked if anyone would like a player like this!

Kuselias also said the Patriots should trade Tom Brady for picks and sign Matt Cassell to a long contract. He's a ing idiot. I wouldn't take anything he says seriously.

    You got it.

Kuselias continually argues about who is a better media draw in a big game. This is idiotic. When you watch a big game, do normal people not argue about who is going to win? Do losers argue, "well, my team is a better media draw."

Of course, the teams who are the biggest media draws are the teams the media spends the most time hyping up, and Kuselias is part of the media. He probably gets his talking points straight from corporate headquarters.

I, for one, will not be part of the herd. I am not going to be a big fan of some team because the media tells me to. I root for excellence and that is the Spurs.

For Christmas this year, my family bought me Spurs T-shirts, sweatshirts, and Spurs bottle-huggers, not Lakers and Celtics crap.
