I'd be surprised if Boston doesn't try to go after him. No cap space for 2010 anyway and they need a Posey replacement, Jackson is as close as they come.
his contract extention goes past 2010 i think

10m per season also....spurs cant afford that, unless they get rid of the 2010 plan of going after a FA, i doubt guys like bosh, wade, lebron or JJ would come here for whatever we have to offer i think around 10m

I love this trade machine.....it is like a video game for us wannabe GMs...hehehe

SA gets: Stephen Jackson, Anthony Randolph, Jason Thompson
Sac gets: Corey Maggette, Ian Mahinmi, Jacques Vaughn, Kurt Thomas
GS gets: John Salmons, Mikki Moore, Fabricio Oberto, Ime Udoka, Sheldon Williams

Spurs gut their roster but end up with this younger and more athletic lineup

    C: Bonner, Thompson
    PF: Duncan, Randolph, Tolliver
    SF: Jackson, Bowen
    SG: Mason, Manu, Finley
    PG: Parker, Hill

Then we can sign Mutombo to give us that veteran big at the end of the bench, or keep with the youth and sign Courtney Sims.

i would love it....just very doubtful

btw, all my trade scenarios are just hot air. I know there are several factors involved besides salary. Length of contract, chemistry issues, work ethic of players, age and health of players, skillset, team needs.....etc.

That is why we should offer them

Udoka, Vaughn, Thomas, and Splitter and for Jax and Randolph. If we have to, we can throw in a 2nd.

We help GS by giving them 2 expiring contracts, some low post veteran muscle, and a future low post prospect (who they dont have to pay right now). We also take Jax, his contract, and his sour state away from the Warriors.

Randolph is just a low post prospect we can try to nurture....since apparently Nellie doesn't want him.

Why the would you want randolph?!?! Good god.

Just Udoka, Finley, Mahinmi, whatever the else they want

if they ask for splitters rights?

i would demand to have turiaf part of the trade also.....gives us another banger down low, and his contract looks reasonable too....

Please offer Manu for SJax. That would be the best thing to ever happen to this team.

I've been saying this for quite some time. See under my username.

There is nothing nonsense about getting value for a great player that is on the downslope of his career, has lost a step, and appears to be injury prone.

Check out their stat comparisons. SJax has the clutch factor that Manu has as well.

What's nonsense is Spurs fans blind love for Ginobili that they won't open their ing eyes to realize what might be better for the long term of the Spurs franchise.

You're right. I'd rather have a headcase who is careless with the ball than one of the most clutch players in Spurs history who is careless with the ball. Bang up job soon-to-be GM.

Can't believe people wouldn't want Buckets back. Have you been paying attention to Bowen at the SF spot this year? He ain't going to keep his DPOY caliber defense going much longer.

Get Buckets and that shores up the SF spot the rest of the Tim Duncan era.

    Trade any of:

    Finley
    Udoka
    Vaughn
    Ian
    rights to Sanikidze
    future draft picks
    cash

    to make it happen.

    Parker
    Mason
    Jax
    Bonner
    Duncan

    with a second unit of
    Hill
    Manu
    Bowen
    Thomas

to back them up. Buckets solves so many defensive problems for us, and gives us more versatility at the 3. , he'd even be a better small ball PF than Finley.

    Wishful thinking though, I suspect...

Hey, it is Nellie. Tell him Viktor's a chucker Euro baller and he'd be all about it. But thanks for the thoughtful response. And seeings your reading comprehension is lacking (well, seeings I am throwing out an idea counter to yours I expected the silly response), the rights to Sanikidze would be a mere throwin. The other players/picks would be the heart and soul of the deal.

Please don't criticize my reading comprehension. I was laughing at the notion that the rights to Sanikidze are worth anything. Teams would ask for cash before asking for his rights.
