Be honest and admit that you are now a Darko-worshipper to go along with your Rasho love. Damn you must be a piece of work to fall for soft Euros like that.
You have no clue-- I do not like Darko at all. The guy is lazy and unstable.

The Spurs can finish close games. That's the mark of champion, but you wouldn't understand.

Margin of victory is a better indicator of future success than records in close games. In 2007 the Mavs had a great record in close games, the Spurs had a higher margin of victory and look what happened.

The Grizzlies sure as helped with missed FT's though, and Mayo was hacked on his final drive. Rudy was braindead and unclutch as well.

Whats with all the fans of opposing teams telling us how to celebrate or how to act after a Spurs win? We know we didn't just win a championship, we know its only Dec. We know the Spurs still have 5 months or so to get thier together

Actually, I agree with him on both counts.

Spurs are not elite this year. Rebounding isn't good enough, bench is inconsistent, and the defense isn't there.
I'm not saying it's the same, but the Spurs looked this bad before and went on to win the trophy. They have time to get their together. Whether they do this season or not......

Wasn't it you yourself that was saying this team was not elite a few weeks ago?

I'm just saying the same thing; the Spurs quality of basketball is nowhere near the Cavs, Lakers, and Celtics right now... not only are they inferior to these teams as far as record and margin of victory, but they've needed a buzzer beater and 3 OT wins to amass that record.

That's all I said. The Spurs are definitely not "kicking ass lately"... they've just had a few close games that could've gone either way and have had a slew of cupcakes... they looked terrible in the Orlando game, and the night before against the Hornets.

Going by ploto's and Ghazi's logic, this season doesn't bode well for the following teams since they all struggled to beat inferior compe ion:

Boston: lost to Indiana and Golden State; beat Milwaukee and Indiana in OT; Beat Charlotte by 6
LA Lakers: Lost to Indiana, Sacramento, Miami; Beat NY and Washington by 2 pts each
Spurs: Beat Memphis and Minnesota in double OT; Lost to Miami and Portland (except for the Gizz game, they were without Manu for the others, but this doesn't count in Ploto-land)
Cavs: Beat Indiana and Washington by 4; Lost to Atlanta; Beat Milwaukee by 6

Damn, it seems like none of these teams are contenders. Yep, it's gonna be a Nets-Mavs finals in the end

It's sad when someone pretends to see something that's not there.

Spurs have been winning games lately so yeah that's kicking ass and taking names. No matter which team or by how much. Its still a win.

Get passed your hate for the Spurs and see what's in front of your face.

Not to mention their dismal record vs .500 teams:

Cleveland is winning by 12 points per game, LA and Boston are winning by around 9-10 points per game, San Antonio is winning by less than 4 points per game.

So it is fair to say that the Spurs do not get as much out of their offensive and defensive possessions as these teams. And you can't say that the early season injuries created this large of a gap.

I didn't mean to get off on a tangent, all I said is that the Spurs are not as good as their record (due to the abundance of close calls that they EASILY could've lost) and Mayo got hacked on his last drive.

Some people don't understand NBA basketball.

First, this was the Spurs 7th game in 11 days and it definitely showed.

Second, whether the team is the Grizzlies or Thunder or Wizards...basketball is a rhythm game and those bad teams can come ready to play. The Grizzlies were in rhythm tonight and could have won the basketball game.

Third, Spurs fans just like any other fans are going to celebrate a 2OT win no matter who they're playing.

Lastly, it is a 82 game season and it's still late December...if you think the Spurs are a finished product then you haven't watched this team over the last 5 years. No one is saying the NBA le is theirs right now.....but for a team to have 20 wins in 30 games and after starting 0-3 and having Tony and Manu out for the first month of the season is excellent.

I'm glad they've won...because they could have laid down and lost the game!!!!

Spurs fans should not be excited that it took two overtimes to beat a team that played last night and has won 2 road games all year.
Pacers fans should not be excited about a team that has never won a Championship, and their claim to fame is the Malice in the Palace. But hey, at least yall still have the Colts and Indy 500.
