That's what Ghazi and company are suffering from.

They are only depressing themselves sadly.
I didn't say the Spurs were on the demise. I'm just pointing out that they're on the decline. That's undeniable.

How can you say the Spurs are on a decline? They went deep into the playoffs last year, and won the le before that.

If you say the Spurs are on decline, your Mavs are in freefall. 2 First round exits after a Finals appearance. OUCH!!!

Yes, the Mavs are on the decline too. But who said anything about the Mavs?

The Spurs were the best in the league arguably for 5 straight years and were a few plays away from possiby winning 5 straight championships. Now they are around 5th or 6th best in the NBA, just my humble opinion.

Another thing, last season after thirty games the Spurs were 21-9. After 30 games this year, 20-10 (And this is with Manu and Parker out for a couple weeks). How is that a decline?

Only thing that can really settle this argument is the playoffs. Ill argue more then.

Is amazing how so many people are ready to post that Spurs are in decline?

Here are some stats (since 2003):

    60-22 (2002-2003)
    57-25 (2003-2004)
    59-23 (2004-2005)
    63-19 (2005-2006)
    58-24 (2006-2007)
    56-26 (2007-2008)

That's an average of 58 wins over that time period with three NBA les and at least reaching the 2nd round of the playoffs in the years they didn't win the le.

Also, with their 20-10 record after 30 games...they are on pace to win about 53 games this year.

Oops....58 wins to 53 wins is a decline!!! Some decline...yikes!!!

    I don't get it!!!

I agree 100%. It is worth it when we get to watch them scratch their heads at the end of the season though. It is always such a Kodak moment.

Spurs are not on a decline, they are consistent. they are on pace to win the same amount of games they win each year. Pace in the regular season and let it all out for the playoffs. This happens every season before SPAM.

Well, I was at the AT&T Center, and to be honest we couldn't get a break until the 2nd overtime. I thought the team lay it all out. That Warrick guy couldn't miss!
Good win tonight. We're now starting to win games even when things don't go our way...

That's because of defense. Pop kept on stressing that offense will take care of itself and you can win games with impeccable defense even if you suck at scoring.

and you have every right to think that about them. but the fact remains you are trying to act like a voice of reasoning here, when really all we spur fans are doing is celebrating a fun win that was entertaining to watch. Ya'll come in acting like you know so much more than us about the spurs. When we've been watching them since the beginning. Theyve been struggling with injuries and getting into rythmn they are no where near what they can become later on in the season. I know right now they are not going to win the championship today.
