You can buy autographed stuff on ebay. Check the seller out and get a COA with whatever you buy.
Just search for 'Tim Duncan autograph' on ebay, you'll find lots of stuff.

Some of them have a 'Certificate of Authenticity' (COA). That's supposed to prove it's real. Some have pictures of the athlete/celebrity signing the item.
If you go through reliable sellers that specialize in autographs you should get some kind of proof.
