I'm curious to get some input on other teams needs and who you think they could trade and acquire that fills the need.

I was thinking T Mac should be traded and I was thinking perhaps ATL would be good for him and the ROckets could recieve Joe Johnson. Joe plays D and can score and next to Yoa that could be a good fit with Artest there and Battier too I like that team even if Ming goes down a few games. One thing is for sure with both Ming and McGrady being injurry prone and both being your foundation, it's not going to work as far as winning the Championship. ATL would love to have someone to replace their Vick star power and with his star power he could do that plus they have a good core nucleus.

Anyone have any ideas or opinions for teams, especially the SPURS

The Spurs most glaring need is for a Starting Center. I dunno what's up with Mahinmi. Trade George Hill or Mason + stiff
    (Joe Smith, Brad Miller/Spencer Hawes)

Celtics need a backup Center and tweener Forward. They also don't have any ball handlers/playmakers on the bench. Celtics win with their starting lineup, not enough for a 7 game series. Trade Leon Powe/Big Baby
(Mike Miller, Joe Smith, Chris Wilcox)

I don't know how to fix the Suns/Mavs, they just have bad chemistry
(One of their Big 3 in a trade)

Lakers still looking for a backup point guard - trade Chris Mihm
(Starbury, Kirk Hinrich, Sergio Rodriguez, Kyle Lowry, Nate Robinson)

Jazz, they've been looking to get rid of Boozer anyways, now's as good time as any to cash in.

Rockets also need a backup Center, need to give up one of their young Power Forwards.

Boozer is getting that career ending scope to his knee so trading him is going to be impossible until GM's see him in action afterwards, I think anyway.

SPurs need an atheletic Big who rebounds and plays good team D, not necessarily a shotblocker (WOULD HELP ) but they are not trading HIll or Mason to bring someone in, if they can't unload Bonner, Udoka, Tolliver and perhaps Splitter's rights and even perhaps Ian then I don't see them making a move at all unless it's some kind of cap reason which I dont see being a problem. I think the Spurs will evaluate the roster over the summer, take a look at bring Gist over, bring Hairston in (if he continues to play well) and look at this years available free agents and make an offer to a BIG they think can help them and that's about it. Look at those coming in the draft and perhaps trade for a future draft pick or player.

I think Houston has to move McGrady because they are not going to move Yao, more than likely they will try to move McGrady East. I think they better hurry because TMac sounds like he is close to retiring leaving them with nothing. They should move him for a guard or a really good point guard to run the offense. Not many of those so...

Basically, my trade suggestion for the Spurs with the Blazers as the trading partner would make sense to everyone if I can convince everyone that Greg Oden is not a bust.

Spurs send out Parker and Mahinmi. They receive Oden, Outlaw and Bayless.

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...4~24&te=&cash=

If the Blazers want something more, we could send one of our 2009 2nd round picks or Splitter's rights to them, or add Jacque Vaughn to the deal.

Blazers receive the point guard they want while solving their small forward clog. The Spurs solve their problem at center and add length at the small forward spot.

Ive got a feeling Horry is coming back. He would be sitting on the bench with an injury anyways. Dont be surprised to see him back in uniform before this year is over.

That's sacrilege but it would work well for both teams. Blazers get some veteran PG leadership, Spurs receive athleticism for a long run.

Sometimes you just gotta take a chance. GM's will soon know if they fold on the season or not. Boozer's also an expiring contract I believe.

Spurs have tradeable assetts in Duncan, Parker, Manu. Then Hill and Mason, I think that's where it ends. If the Spus aren't gonna give up them two, it's going to be difficult to get any quality back. Parker+Hill is a luxury compared to Bonner starting for the Spurs.

Health seems to be the biggest issue with the Rockets. I don't really know who would want McGrady at this point in his career considering he gets $23 million next year but can't play both B2B games.

I agree with this much, Oden is not a bust and I don't believe Portland thinks he is either. Spurs and Blazers doing a trade would shock me, any deal between those two would shock me at this point. Spurs may have to look East for a partner and I wouldn't be surprised to see Horry back in Silver and Black because he is still a smart player and I'd rather have him than Tolliver at this point, just because he knows what we need, what we do and where to be on the court, should be fresher thanlast season too. Look for Spurs to make a move this Feb unlike in '06 I don't expect to hear no one is going anywhere until the deadline passes.

Like you said, sometimes you gotta take a chance but I think McGrady is done in Houston, he has to be sent away with someone else to sweeten if necessary. Also, if Boozer is in an expiring year then perhaps some GM is willing to look at him, if they have nothing to lose.

It sounds crazy but Tinsley's pretty talented and relatively cheap.

Not quite the deal Oden/Bayless/Outlaw would be but what you got?

i think parker would fit perfect for the blazers.. im pretty sure they wouldnt get rid of ROY or Oden for him but LMA may be possible if they could get Bosh. also sergio rodriguez would fit pretty good in the second unit of the lakers. run and gun style and him and ariza would work well together not too mention alot of highlight alley oops.

I'd like to see Joe Smith sign with the Magic as well. I think he'd help them out which is hard to believe I'm saying because he did nothing to help the Timberwolves out IMO.

Orlando needs a point, I know Nelson is playing well but I still see him as a backup.

    That IS a great trade.

Props, I never would have thought about Tinsley, he's not welcome in Indiana and with Mike Dunleavy out the Pacers could use another shooter to play with Granger.

Phil can deal with headcases, and Tinsley would be great on the Lakers...and he has great size for a point guard, something Philip has a fetish for. Lakers have too many small forwards and guys who can play SF (Ariza, Rad, Luke, Odom+Kobe+Sun Yue)

Denver was supposedly looking to get Tinsley, I wonder if that's still on the table.

Blazers dont wanna get rid of LMA either, but honestly throw him in with duncan and have duncan teach him some of his weapons before he retires and i guarantee it would be worth it on the spurs part.. I just dont see the Blazers wanting to rid of Oden anytime this century or Roy.

who the other than the Lakers wants Luke Walton?
    lol

I just fail to see how this guys is still in the league, if I was Lakers I would have swooped up Hairston while he was in the D league and waived Walton but I would never have sign Walton in the first place.
