was kidding, just tired of all the bashing
Can't we just say that Tony, Manu, AND Tim are ALL clutch? Spurs fans always have to say one Spur is more this or that. THAT is why Spurs fans can get annoying.
was kidding, just tired of all the bashing
Gotcha. Use thisnext time.
This should be TP's best season for assists..
For those who want TP to be more of a passer.
Last 2 games :
- Vs the bucks : 19 and 10, Spurs lose
- Vs the sixers : 15 and 10, spurs hardly win.
I won't recall what is spurs record when TP scores 20+ points.

Oh, and FWIW, I think Tony should have give the ball back to a wild open Manu on the last play.
Go watch game 1 2005 first round of the playoffs.
Dude was twice what he was tonight.
He gets a special look in his eye when it comes to the Spurs.
So the county can give out millions of dollars in scholarships for a non profit organization half wit.
if it wasn't for the Rodeo, the Spurs would be in New Orleans or St Louis right now.
Good post. That is definitely something to consider since Pop wants Tony to attack and shoot the ball.
19 10
15 10
how many of those come from the extra pass outlet from the post?
tim and maru are cold blooded when it comes to the final possessions and we're lucky that our three main players are winners but tony IS the most clutch, sorry to say it, the stats are clear:

before 06, tony was average in the PO, but since then, when it matters, he always delivers at the best %. this year, it's amazing of much he's clutch.
this year, in clutch times, manu shoots at 31.8 %, tim at 48.8 % and tony at 56 %.

not a lot, if not any in the last game. Denfensors are so much packing the lane to prevent TP from driving to the rim that they let the spurs shooters open. it's often easy passes for tony but he earned them by asking so much attention from the opponent.
but the haters keep on hating.....

Andre Miller is a talented mystery. He can turn in unstoppable HoFer games, but they are way above his career avg night. So he gets traded around the league like an old sofa.
He was not playing as good as he can but the BUZZER made up all the mistakes...![]()
That was without a doubt, the most amazing clutch shot by a player in a Spurs uniform I have seen in this entire season. Maybe even in a few years.
I've seen more clutch/fluke shots by us this year than in like the previous three years combined.
Parker is truly the . He never flinched, or hesitated, and hit nothing but net.
Anyone coming close to criticizing Parker after this game should be flogged.
Is it fair to say that Parker has developed a lack of Ruth?
Wow, this thread is crazy.
Anybody who wants to rag on Tony needs to either hit the gym and show us how a completely perfect basketball player is supposed to play, or STFU and GTFO.
That was an absolutely incredible shot by Tony last night. That turn-around, step-back, fade-away rainbow is just another testament to how deadly Tony's shot has become, and how naturally he has learned to use it.
Yeah, it'd be great if they didn't cough up the League, but I saw that coming when they shot 8-9 from three-point land in the first. Percentages dictate that's bound to go down.
But the Spurs take a lot more crunch-time experience and chemistry from a buzzer-beater win like this than they do wiping the floor with the Sixers. Considering the season is nothing but 82 building blocks, I'd rather see the Spurs have to scrap if they can still pick up the W.
Ain't nothing gonna come easy in the playoffs, either.
Gleemonex makes it feel like it's Parkertime 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Parker's buzzer beater was just awesome. He is also having a huge, huge year.
Parker and Duncan have really carried this team through the last couple of months. They deserved tons of props for that.![]()
Parker was merely OK. The lucky shot at the end helped.
Excellent post.
Are you 12 in years old?
I just think we are lucky to have 3 players who want the big shot at the end. And 3 players very capable of making the big shot at the end.
I can understand that Spur fans feel this win was alot harder than it should have been, but to still dwell over it is pathetic. They won. Move on.
are you including Mason as your third, because I have little confidence in Manu at this point.
good post
