If Manu is back to 100% by the end of the season, it is probably a lateral move. I keep Manu just for chemistry reasons.

Rip is absolutely a good shotter but his style doesn't suit the spurs.

Rip's a damn good player but I would hesitate to trade Mason for him, let alone Manu. Manu is a killer people! Do you hear the way opposing fans boo him every time he touches the ball?? Do you know why they do that?! Because he has murdered their teams time and time again! He can change the outcome of a game with pure Argentinian willpower. We are very fortunate to have him.

I like Rip but I think gino is better. If you factor the chemistry there is not even a debate.

Moreover, they are about the same age, have similar salaries... (actually Gino is cheaper), have contracts expiring the same year...

I really don't see how Hamilton would be an upgrade.

Some would say it has something to do with some obscure flopping allegations

It seems Manu has been around longer. But RIP has 9yrs of playing to Manu's 6 based on NBA.com's site. Thats 3 years and alot of PO games. Then again Manu plays alot after the season is over. Id have to say stick with what works. I bet Pop would say the same.

Manu is untradeable at this point ... after this season, we'll see what happens with that extension.

I can't see the Spurs running all those screens for him. It would be a horrible fit just like when the Lakers tried to make Glen Rice into a standstill shooter.

Nah... He is an incredible player when it comes to moving without the ball, and that would benefit the Spurs, but Manu is just more valuable... Even when not playing 100% he is a guy who can take over games with key baskets. I don't think the Spurs will trade him for another veteran guard. Although I think trading him after this year for a young prospect would be the right deal.

Damn, writing this just broke my heart

I would do this trade if the pistons accept KT and Vaughn as a package, but no way should they trade they most sharp shooter for two mediocre veterans, and the likelyhood spurs trade manu is even smaller. this trade offer sucks because it's unfeasible and not pramatic at all.

What is with all the "trade Manu" scenarios? I know he's not 100% right now but this guy goes all out or tries if he's not healthy. I think Manu is still valuable as a Spur; there will come a time when he may no longer be a Spur but I don't think the time is now.

..or offensively. He's pretty much 100% dependent on others to get his shot.

I know! right? you'd think he could run around, through some off the ball screens or something, anything! but he just sits there waiting for a teammate to draw a double team or something
