It's about time.
FINALLY! San Antonio has done a nice job so far, but they've been feasting on the dregs of the league. The schedule will now take a turn with very few guaranteed wins. We will see what the Spurs are made of now.
Yum
the Rodeo Road Trip is when you will see the real Spurs and what they are made of.
Last years rodeo trip was the first of many where the Spurs and the name they carry on their jerseys were met everynight they played. And last years rodeo trip might not have been the best the Spurs have boasted. With the addition of Roger and with Matt playing better then Horry. Add to that a mix of Hill and a young AT, and Im hoping the Spurs do a better job this Febuary. But lets get through January first. One game down. I look forward to watching the Spurs play against some better teams record wise. If we can get through this month a little better then above .500, Ill be pleased.
tlongII, I agree, although it's the most difficult for the Spurs from mid-January through February. It's going to be galvanize or traumatize during that 45-day period.
Pity we don't play Portland more often... Otherwise our record would soar!!!
THIS is when the schedule gets tough:
Sun 25 @ LA Lakers
Tue 27 @ Utah
Thu 29 @ Phoenix
Sat 31 New Orleans
Mon 02 @ Golden State
Tue 03 @ Denver
Sun 08 @ Boston
That is a brutal stretch...followed by FIVE more road games.
Very Brutal. One observation. Looks like only one back to back during this stretch, with first game at GS, which hopefuly is a blow to rest for next night in Denver.
I'm glad. I've gotten tired of watching the Spurs face no challenges. It'll mix things up a bit. Sometimes routine day at the office wins get boring.
We will be fine. BELIEVE!
The Boston game will be tough, New Orleans may be a tough game as well, Utah would be tough if they had everyone, but the rest are pretty much average opponents.
That's the toughest stretch, but your schedule gets difficult immediately starting with tonight's game against the Heat. D-Wade ain't no picnic to play against this year. You follow that with what should be an easy game against the Clips, but then you got Orlando and the Lakers. It's put up or shut up time.
Good thing they have a couple days to rest before the Boston game on Feb 8th!![]()
Is that what you said to the goat?
What was it you knew about putting up/shutting up again?
I certainly hope the Spurs play up and above the levels of their compe ors.![]()
That is a tough schedule...especially that last week of Jan. I would like them to go 2-2 that week.
when the going gets tough, Bruce Bowen starts breaking kneecaps
Perfect time to start toughening up this unit.
All is going to plan.
The Spurs have put up or shut up to the tune of 4 NBA Championships.:
What has your team done lately? I still don't comprehend how you can believe that in a 7 game series, your Trailblazers would best the San Antonio Spurs.
Inconceivable!
