I know. I know. I have seen the Admiral since his Naval Academy days.
But... in terms of flair and the timing of the game, this block is right up there.
I think the Prince block in the playoffs from behind was one of the best blocks I have seen.

Seems like he does that on every drive these days. Two giant steps --> left layup. It's very predictable.
I wish he'd stop (1) head faking beyond the arc and (2) taking too many 3's (what was he 0 for 5 tonight?)
I uploaded the manu block on youtube about 45 mins ago... still processing it. so just check there. file le is "Manu clutch block on Wade!"
Rate 5-star on my video plz, thanks

I was at Buffalos Wings, and I went nuts... on the replay. Watching the first time, I had no idea what had happened. You know a block is good when it's played 30x in ten minutes and it doesn't wear out its welcome. Ginobili should've gone![]()
That was a great block, wade just got a taste of his own medicine. Somewhere Brook Lopez is smiling lol
Thanks for finding it for us.
228, manu's on the winning wall.
Thanks, I just put it in the game blog.
Manu did the ol' Robert Horry trick of slowing up right after the steal so he could get out of Wade's peripheral vision and then exploding after Wade picked up the ball. That was vintage Horry.
Not bad for a guard![]()
that play should be top10 blocks of the season
Miami trailed 84-81 when Wade drove to the rim from the right wing, with Tony Parker getting in front to deter his progress a bit. Wade leaped for a layup -- but Ginobili, who isn't exactly known for high-flying exploits -- swatted it away, setting up a game-clinching jumper by Mason at the other end.
"Play of the game," Spoelstra said.
"He's an athletic guy and it was a great block," Wade said.

Thanks for posting, bbarry. Two thumbs up!!!
http://www.nba.com/spurs/gameday/090105.html"We managed to find a way tonight," Duncan said. "Manu makes that (block) and we go down the other end and turn a one-point game into a five-point game. That's the way it went."
Amen.
There is usually a tendency to believe that the current spectacular event is far and away better than past spectacular events of similar ilk.
Great block.(Too bad the first ESPNEWS highlight found a way to leave it out
)
It probably was his best block, in terms of time and score, but he's had a couple that were just as impressive. One that immediately comes to mind, was a couple years back on Kevin Martin. It looked like he decapitated the kid at first glance, but after further review, was just a clean/spectacular block.
That's the first person I thought of.Manu did the ol' Robert Horry trick of slowing up right after the steal so he could get out of Wade's peripheral vision and then exploding after Wade picked up the ball. That was vintage Horry.
He even used a teammate (Tony) to set-up Wade for the "shocker."![]()
This is, hands down, the best post in Spurstalk history!!!![]()
Fantastic block. It literally came outta nowhere. Manu redeemed himself in fine fashion because I thought he forced his offense a bit much when he was clearly struggling earlier in the game. He's gradually getting back to being the old Manu.
Much obliged!
That was a great block. His early in the shot clock 3 pointers were annoying the out of me, but that block more than made up for everything.
Great play.
