are you seriously comparing the two OSU squads? Here's what makes it different.
1. Bennie Wells had zero rushing yrds against USC
2. That was Terrell Pryors first game
3. It was at USC.
4. It was the top game of the week so USC was hyped.
Texas was obviously not all that excited about this game, but still had the talent to win it.

Texas did not win as easily as I or You thought they would. All this means to me, as a watcher of every Texas Game, is that I totally underestimated Ohio State. Prahps to them, in every aspect. The coaching calls, the defense, the run game, the heart. They put themselves in a position to steal this game from a Colt McCoy that was on fire in the 3rd quarter. But Colt overcame that, with mad help from the one and only Lord Quan. Record setting completions and yards for a Fiesta Bowl.
Add that to the fact that the Spurs won tonight, and you have one of the greatest sports nights of 2009 history

Everybody and their dog knew that UT wanted to come out and make a statement that they belonged in the Championship game, and maybe even get the AP vote as Champs if OU beat Florida. Maybe you Big 12 fans shouldn't spend so much time next season trying to tear down USC and the rest of the Pac-10 in order to build your conference up. Then you won't have to spend so much time making excuses to try and cover all your smack talk when it backfires.

I just heard the echo of a lump of splooge ricocheting from IronMexican't's ill-prepared, slow, feeble, unqualified, inferior face and land onto the field of the Fiesta Bowl. My bad, I thought Texas won this game! I feel such a right now!
Texas beat Michigan in the 2005 Rose Bowl and I felt it was going to set the tone for them the following season. Winning a close game like that gave that entire team and especially Vince Young the confidence of doing that anytime that situation arose. The next year they go 13-0 and finish the year breaking the Trojans heart in dramatic fashion.
The same could be said about a game like this. Add to the motivation of the BCS controversy, Texas will be an even scarier team next season.
