*cough* Texas Tech *cough*
Apparently not Texas Tech either.
*cough* Texas Tech *cough*
There was no one to put over OSU. This was a very top heavy season. I don't truat the WAC after what Hawaii did. And Boise just beat a team they were supposed to beat in 07.
of course, what this year's BCS games have proved is that the BCS once again sucks ass and we need a playoff system.
Utah is getting royally screwed right up the ute.
Utah will get a chance to show what they are made of early September.
OSU will probably get selected in most scenarios like this, they travel and loot very well.
Texas Tech won two games over FCS opponents, didn't have a road win better than @ Kansas, and got rolled in their home state by the third-best team in the SEC.
At the time I would have. I was under the impression that Tech was better than they turned out to be. I would have been wrong but unlike a lot of s on this site, I am man enough to admit it. I don't run and hide from a post or when my team gets beat...or is that what those who are "better" than the rest of us do?![]()

Say what you want.
Texas has scoreboard in BCS Bowl games, including over USC.
Which is more than you can say for OU or Tech.
U don't have to like it, haters. But it da truth.

Oregon, I guess? I know BYU plays OU in the new Cowboys stadium next year.
at one time hornfans.com was a very credible site for longhorn football. I got the info from there and should have known better. I stand corrected.

true. but that doesn't mean i wont make fun of you. btw, some posters have lives outside the internet, so i never like to jump on people...cause you just never know. but its nice and maybe just a coincidence that cap mike and red raider korea have disappeared. though, their teams did get stomped...and i had both games correct, lol. not surprisingly, the teams i were most familiar with turned out to be the match ups i picked with great success.
No biggie. Texas plays the murderer's row of ULM, Wyoming, UCF, and UTEP preconference '09.
Wow, you can get Utah tickets on/near the 50yd line with only a $200 donation (plus ticket cost).
I saw that. If memory serves me right I believe they had Utah originally scheduled, but either Texas or Utah pulled out.
I think UT dropped Utah for Arkansas, and then Arkansas wanted out of that game following all the Petrino/Nutt nonsense, so Dodds scheduled Monroe. Does that sound right?
Didn't you pick the Aggies to go to a bowl this year?
Oh no, I get what you are saying and you are absolutely correct.
That is what was so maddening about watching SC win, they got cheated out of a le shot by the current rules in place. I would love to see an SC-Utah game. If I had to pick, I pick SC big but what if Utah has a Hoosiers moment and knocks them off? It would be one of the biggest upsets in history. The players, coaches and fans are robbed of that.
are you ing kidding? everyone should suck USC's . they are one of a few teams that consistently play a tough out of conference schedule and they are good, which is an unusual combination. what a crock.
in 2009,
sep. 5th san jose state
sep. 12th @ ohio state
* i reckon playing @ notre dame could actually be tough next year. we'll see.
yeah...i did. its not the first time USC was the best team at the end of the year and wasn't in the le game...i'm proud of them anyway.
You noticed I amended my post.![]()
and you should be, but as you said, I had to make fun of you for the Ags.![]()
While I will admit if UT played against USC the way they played last night, we would lose, it is impossible to compare the two teams.
Regardless of how impressive SC looked, fact is, they were playing a home game. Pure and simple. Let's see them beat an SEC team in a bowl game where the other team is on their own home field. When they do that, I'll give them props.
Championship talk is stupid too. This year has no real champion. End of story. And I dont even have UT in mind when I say that.
Props to UT, their players, their coaches, for another bad ass season. We will miss you, Lord Quan.
its easy to compare them. USC would stomp the out of t.u. regardless of whether they played like last night or not. its impossible to know for sure.
its not like USC hasn't scheduled sec teams before and worked them. can't always help it if they are good or not, even though 1 of those arkansas teams was good and both auburn teams were pretty good.
think about this...considering Carroll isn't afraid to play any team out of conference and the ass kickings they have delivered, who is dodging whom? can't control whom the bowls select.
no, They Played in Hawaii, They still suck ass.
I didn't say anything about dodging. But you are such a ridiculous homer there is absolutely no concept of intelligent sports debate when it comes to you. I'll admit your predictions this bowl season have been pretty impressive, but your blind faith in USC with absolutely no wavering is sickening.
If USC is so indisputably good, how did they lose to that school oregon state? Oh, they won their bowl game 3 to 0, so they're actually a really good team, right? (laughing out loud) It's the type of one blind sided argument a seventh grader could construct.
There is no way you can go much further than if UT played USC the way they played OSU, UT would lose. The rest of your speculation is grounded on your homerness.
Furthermore, you always go out of your way to make it sound like UT sucks, no matter what, so its difficult to take your opinion seriously anyways. And those Arkansas teams that USC played were total crap, bottom of the line SEC.
I don't give a if UT plays a pancake schedule. Most of the criticisms I heard about my team prior to the Rose Bowl was that we did not play anybody. "Baylor?! Aggies? You guys are about to play a team that can actually play and beat good teams!" I heard something like this constantly. And look what happened. Ya'll got fist ed. Tonsils totally impaled.
Even if USC would kick the out of UT, we are still perfect in BCS bowl games, and are on one of the most impressive historical runs in NCAA history. And nothing ya'll can say will ever take that away.
Hook 'em, ers.
