Hornets are better than the Spurs.
I think we are going to be in for a surprise in the East. I think either the Cavs or Celtics is going to be upset prior to making it to the ECF. Everyone is counting out Orlando and everyone forgets about Detroit. The Pistons are quietly winning games. And they still have a chance to catch Cleveland for the division. I doubt that either Boston or Cleveland wants to see those 2 teams come playoff time. And don't even forget about the Nets or Heat. While I don't expect those teams to win a series but Wade and Carter/Harris is going to give teams fits in the 1st round. Those guys alone could win you a couple of games.
What does last year have to do with this year?
We get it the Lakers rather see the Hornets in the playoffs rather then the Spurs.
I agree. Still waaay to early to tell. Detroit, Miami, and New Jersey could upset Orlando, Cleveland, or Boston. We know what Detroit brings to the table and now with A.I. have a little more offensive punch, Miami has Wade, I dont count that guy out ever, and New Jersey now has Carter AND Harris.
That was the NBA true power rankings. The Spurs may rise this Monday and the Hornets may fall further.
Ask Phoenix the same question, as their fans and players always said the yr before didnt mean , but each time have gotten spanked by the Spurs each time they met in the playoffs. I'm pretty sure losing a Game 7 on your home floor may mess with your mind when you meet up with the same team who knocked you out the previous year.
I think what is going to make Detroit especially a tough out for any team is Rodney Stuckey. That kid is just playing great. Combine Stuckey,AI and Rip with Sheed and Prince and Boston and Cleveland are going to be in for a dogfight. And Wade is going to be great in the playoffs won't be enough but I can see him pushing the Cavs or Magic to 6 games in a series.
It has nothing to do with the WCF, but everything to do with WCSF.
I think the teams who get less time in the limelight fuels them a bit, Orlando, Detroit, etc. Because all the media talks about in the East is Cleveland and Boston, that may fuel Detroit and Orlando to wanna upset these media darlings.
I agree
You know I am actually rooting for Detroit to at least knock one of them off. And I have never been a Pistons fan. I think is just me always rooting for the underdog.
True. Among those of my friends who watch the NBA, when they ask me who are contenders in the East, I said Detroit and they said I was a homer.
Dont be ridiculous.
Hornets are heavily dependent on one guy. You take CP out of that team and it turns to .
Finally.
Really? Take away CP who on that team can create thier own shot?
Agreed. As a Spurs fan we've seen plenty of times Manu carry the Spurs without TD and TP, and most recently TD carry the team without Manu and TP. You take CP3 out of the Hornets, that team is hardly compe ive.
The Spurs wouldn't be in the playoffs without Duncan as the Hornets wouldn't be in the playoffs without Paul.
Prove that in the slightest and I will owe you a coke.
Don't know about that. The Spurs are deep and have more options besides Duncan,Manu and Parker. You can't say the same of the Hornets.
I didn't say playoffs did I? No sir. I said "staying compe ive." Can you read? You ok there? I didnt say Oh if the Spurs didnt have TD they would still make playoffs, cuz I'm not so sure they would. I'm saying the Spurs can stay above water with 1 or 2 of their stars out still, and the Hornets can not without Chris Paul.
So the Spurs are clearly better than the Hornets?
That's a stretch.
They probably wouldn't have those champs but to say they would miss the POs is also ridiculous.
You're an avid fan of bringing the playoffs up when it fits your argument (bread and butter for spurfans), so I'll do it too.
Delonte is playing .
