Game blog: Spurs vs. Magic
By Joe Alexander
The Spurs take on one of the top teams in the league when they face the Orlando Magic tonight at the AT&T Center.
It was a little more than three weeks ago that the Spurs lost in New Orleans and Orlando on back-to-back nights. The Spurs are 9-1 since then.
The Magic beat the Spurs 90-78 on Dec. 18. Jameer Nelson was 11 of 18 from the field and led the Magic with 24 points and seven assists. Tim Duncan had 19 points and nine rebounds, but the Spurs collectively struggled and shot 37.5 percent from the field.
The Magic have won 12 of their last 14 games.
Here's the latest on the Magic:
Brian Schmitz, Orlando Sentinel
The Orlando Magic have a chance, starting tonight, to go where no Magic team has gone since the Shaq-Penny days. It's certainly the best opportunity that has ever been presented to the club during the Dwight Howard Era.

What a chod.
I'm looking forward to this one. I was hoping the last magic/spurs game would be good, but Dwight Howard was all banged up and the Spurs played like rotten ass until I got bored and turned the game off in favor of some other activity. Anyways, lest I digress further, go Magic, but more importantly I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an epic battle between Duncan and Howard, no matter the winner.
I hate them too.
tough, tough game..good test to see where we're at at this point of the season..this isn't a back to back like last time, the team is well-rested..Orlando is arguably the 2nd best team in the NBA right now, behind the Cavs..
Nelson and Lewis worry me..
Tony is gonna have to have a big game offensively, same with Manu..we have to make our 3's, but that's the case every game..
does that for me also on the hd channel. try simply changing the channel to non hd fssw and then back to hd fssw. fixes it for me everytime
Pregame show on NBA TV now.
How about lawler's law to take effect....

Game blog: Spurs vs. Magic

As the Spurs players started going out on the court and shooting two hours before the game, they seemed much quieter than usual. I'm not sure how to read that, other than they seem to be taking this game very seriously even by their own usual standards.
92-84, Spurs with the win is my prediction.
Manu and Mason combine for 37 points.
I just feel boag-ed.
Nelson is going to get lit up by Parker.
Hmmmm, this will be a real test. They are the best 3pt defenders in the league, have the best big man not named Tim Duncan, and can score from every position. Bad matchup for us, but I'm going to say we win a thriller in the 90s... let's say 96-93.
GO SPURS GO!!!![]()
BTW, check out Courtney Lee - kid can play.
Key to this game is shutting down Lewsi and Turk - keep them from going off and we win the game.
Spurs call!
they said this is Pop's 13th season with the spurs. does that mean as head coach, or as anything..?
Dwight Howard is a real character.
I hope he has a great game but his team loses.
