Just days after Washington Wizards co-captains Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison expressed optimism that they would soon get some relief in the form of a healthy return by franchise player Gilbert Arenas, the mood suddenly shifted to despair.
Butler said he didn't expect Arenas to return from his September knee surgery during a Thursday interview on ESPN 980's "The John Thompson Show." He reiterated his thoughts Friday: The two-time All-Star said "the truth happened" and that forced him to change his opinion.
"I really don't think it's gonna happen," Butler said.
Arenas also expressed uncertainty about his return from a third knee surgery since April 2007.
and to think the Wizards actually signed him to a six year 111 million dollar extension not knowing for certain if he would play this season...
That was freaken nuts
Might as well even in the East the Wiz are no tmakin gthe playoffs. Save him for next season.
Arenas is the new Mcgrady, but without the lazy-eyed charm.
Remember when these two were among the top 10 players in the league?
A flashback of T-Mac in Orlando vs. Agent Zero
over 100 million dollars to write a blog....I could do that
tmac was arguable the best player in the league the 02-03 season. Arenas was good but i never thought he was all that great and at least tmac showed a desire in winning while this ass clown just screwed the wizards for yrs to come.
T-Mac yeah, but not Arenas.
Sounds like the Wizards just want to tank and have him come back healthy next year.
DD
Arenas and Tmac are my favourite players, because they make me look tough and strong
Why? He did what anybody on this board would have done. He knows he is not worth that type of max contract but you can't blame him for taking it.
