    Through games of Jan 5 2009...27 team total...27..dead last in the NBA..Indiana with 61..next worst..so they have almost 3 times as many...Denver on top with 222..

    Duncan finishes at the rim with a lot of layups. He was never an athletic guy to begin with, but as long as he and the team is finishing at the rim, it doesn't matter how many dunks they have.

    spurs fans have to admit, that is a pretty embarrassing statistic. not only are spurs last- they are wayyyy down the line.
    but i suppose that's just due to the way the spurs play ball

    Well .. who really dunks?

    Timmy when he's not in traffic.

    Manu when he has space and a running start.

    I've seen Bonner, Parker, Finley, and Bowen dunk.. but you could count all their dunks this year on 1 hand.

    George Hill is the only one I can think of that can actually dunk with any kind of authority... and even he has to have space.


    I'd imagine our layups statistics lead the league.

    dunking is the most overrated part of basketball, it's not even close..

    Oklahoma City is 2nd in dunks, which shows a lot..

    also, the Spurs were last in dunks in 2006-2007..guess what happened that season?..

    I agree that we should get to the FT line more though..the positive is that we also allow the least amount of FTA per game as well..
