--------Comp Att Yards TDs Int -- Att Yds Avg TD
    Young 84 143 1,155 6 7 -- 135 998 7.4 11

    Tebow 22 33 358 5 1 -- 89 29 5.3 469 8

VY had a ty TD/INT ratio, but he was THE passer and didn't have a QB throwing for 2950 yards in front of him either. Even as the starting full back Tebow didn't have more rushing touchdowns.

    Doesn't change the fact that
    Young > Leinart
    Tebow > Leinart

Neither of the three will amount to in the NFL anyways. And you have the weakest takes in the college section out of the whole forum.

It's ok. Your team wasn't the only team that couldn't stop the original college superman.

Who gives a about their careers in the nfl? This is about what they did in college.

thats funny, cause Leinart had a better college career than vyoung. and as for the Pros?...we know vyoung sucks, we know much less about Matt.

Both of them suck due to holding a clipboard for two old guys.

Eh not really. VY didn't have another heisman runner running the ball and forcing defenses in. They both have 1 championship. VY will be in everyones list of top 10 greatest players ever while Leinart is not even mentioned.

So what would you base your rankings on?
How about all the stats I have posted. You have yet to show any backing on why Tebow is better.

You yet again conveniently miss my post with their freshman stats. The stats where VY rushes for more yards and touchdowns than Tebow.

Yet you ignore Tebow's stats that are superior to Young's.

I really hope you're joking. If not then go back a couple pages and look at the stats posted.

Who the invited you you ing usc got? Leinart isn't even in the same discussion. We know VY sucked in the pros? Really? Last I remember he got rookie of the year and is now replaced by a veteran who has done great. Jeff Fischer has even said he's gonna be their qb for the future.

Not sure I'd call 12 TDs, 7 INTs, a QB rating of 80.2, and a prompt exit from the playoffs once his star RB went down "great".

have you ever heard of Kurt Warner?

hmm, i'm confused. Leinart has 2 les (you can ignore it all you want, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen) to vyoung's 1. Leinart has a heisman...vyoung doesn't. i would also argue Leinart had better stats.

    Yes, really.

Still time for him, but he's looked like dog as a passer in the NFL thus far.

No, we know that so far Leinart sucks in the pros too. That could change, as it could for VY but as of right now, they both have pretty ty pro careers.

    Now, back to the thread....

If Tebow and the Gators win it next year, the edge would go to Tebow. I don't care for the guy too much but he is talented. I think he will make a decent pro but I am not convinced yet that he will have a good or great pro career.

So why were these left out from the first post?
What first post? I never posted season stats. I posted bowl games stats with each player as the full year starter.

    Vince Young

    46/68 68% 447 yards 1 TD 1 INT
    40 rushes for 392 yards(9.8 avg), 7 touchdowns, long of 60 in 04 and long of 45 in 05
VY 2-0, beat Michigan who was 9-2, also beat 12-0 and the "greatest team of all time" who was on a 34 game win streak playing at home in Cali.
    839 total yards, 8 touchdowns

    Tim Tebow

    35/63 55% 385 yards, 5 TD 2 INT
    38 rushes 166 yards(4.3 avg), 1 touchdown, longs of only 19 and 15
Tim Tebow LOST to the Michigan team that lost to Appalachian State(on the way to a 9-4 season)
    551 yards, 6 touchdowns.

Like Tebow having more passing touchdowns and yards than Young?
Tebow never lead the nation in passing efficiency.

outside of setting the rookie record in passing yards for a game, Leinart hasn't been that great. but to say he has sucked in the pros is premature. he was injured, had a very good QB behind him (whom is playing at a very high level at the moment), and hasn't even played one year as a starting QB. why is that so hard to understand?

the situation is much less clear for Leinart than young.
