Look, TDK was really good, I liked it. But Best Picture? It would be the worst choice since "Crash."

It was extremely topical considering how our government has functioned these last 8 years.

And, it had a great cast with exceptional performances.

You can not, in any way, compare Crash with TDK.

Agreed. Great story, great acting. Great everything, but I couldn't 100% say with certainty that it was the best movie of 2008. Personal favorite? Maybe. Best MOVIE? I don't think I can go with that.

It was just 1 of many examples though. I was never a huge indie movie fan, but she one time gave some examples of her favorites and I was bored one day and checked em out and they were really good, so I have a passing interest in who she suggests and or likes.

Yeah, that sucks. They have good stuff there. I don't do much downloading anymore because everything else is mostly garbage, has viruses or needs a password, etc. So I just try to find a decent streaming copy, which isn't always easy because most are really poor quality, plus they get taken down quickly cus streaming is expensive.
