Portland does it to try and win a le now. Yeah, as much as I'd hate to part with Dirk, Aldridge would be a nice piece to help build around for the future. And it would help clear cap space for 2010.

I would do that trade. Aldridge+ package is probably the best we could get for Dirk anyways, but the Blazers seem pretty high on him as an up and coming young "allstar".

Nothing really. They'd have to get a third team involved. And the Cavs can probably win a le as is...they're a team that only requires tweaks, not a major transformation.
