I'm in DC now with a bunch of kids from my school as well as many other high school kids from the nation. It's pretty cool. We get to tour around and everything. Today, we had the concert to attend, and it was amazing!

I can't escape the coverage of this event at any time of day on any regular cable channel...and forget the news networks. I swear they should just declare this inaguration day (not any other...just this one) a federal holiday and be done with it. The hype around this week's events has been absolutely rediculous.
Everyone I work with is taking off to take it in or to go in person, so work will be absolutely pointless tomorrow I'm sure.

Currently we're at our hotel in Martinsburg, WV. We initially chose this spot because it was on the MARC line that goes right into union station and figured we could take an hour train ride in and not have any hassle at all. Unfortunately, I never thought to check to buy early tickets for the line and by the time I checked last week they were sold out
Well, thats not really a big deal but now we have to drive to a Metro station in Maryland which is about an hour away then take the subway into town which is about another 40 minute ride. Still, none of that seems too bad at all.
However, they're opening the parking lots at these stations at 4 and expect them to fill really fast. We really need to get a spot, so we're leaving here at 3 or so and heading down. I can't sleep because its way too early for me (I'm a night person and usually stay up till about the time I'm supposed to get up) so in all likelyhood I'll pull the all nighter.
Anyway, I if I can get internet access I should be able to easily upload early morning pics but I doubt it will be possible much through the rest of the day.
