I remember that badass.
The first one was really the only one necessary.

Once a always a .
Charles Barkley is rolling over in his grave....
It's funny though when people say so and so deserves to start or doesn't, it's fan vote, there is no deserve or not, it's a popularity contest...
I could understand if Duncan was having an off year but he's been having a really, really good year.
When was the last off year???
wow. when he retired did he stop watching basketball?
He really hasn't. I guess if I had to be picky I would say 05/06 just because he was injured all season but even then he still put up like 18 & 11. I didn't mean it in the way to say that he had had an off year and he wasn't this season.
I understand, I'm just pointing out its not really an straightlaced or "understandable" comment because he never has an off year. It's almost malicious in nature (the comment), because Tim is the most consistent player of the last 10 years. To say he doesn't deserve his votes, which it must be pointed out that the people voted Tim in and he's not exactly the most popular or watched guy in the NBA, is just downright wrong.
Just ranting but that. Tim has to earn his start every year, among the only good results of a voting system terribly abused and exploited. If he really had an "off year" where he was averaging 15 and 8 for a couple months at the beginning of the season or something and the Spurs were losing, he'd might get 100,000 votes from the fans, coach's pick or not.
That might never happen ..
duncan never had a off-year imo
the year he played when he had like what 2-3 ankle injuries and we won the chip
the year he had PF all season, still pushed the dallas ponies to 7 games in the wcf.
it was actually ridiculous that Timmy averaged 33 and 11 in the series vs. the Mavs, despite having PF, and we should have won if it wasn't for a Manu foul..would have expanded his legacy even more..
Payton just admitted he hasnt been watching the Spurs this year, but he has watched a bunch of Suns games.....I wonder if he watched the 3pt 0rb game from Amare. I wonder if he has watched Amare pout and whine all season about his role.
Meanwhile, Duncan has carried his team to the 2nd best record in the West, while his two amigos were riding the pine with injuries.
Payton is funny though. I wish he was a bit more articulate, but he is still funny. With Payton and CWeb there, its like a bunch of fools sitting on the back porch throwing bones.
but come on! Amare's "been getting down!" has tim duncan been getting down??
"Southwest Airlines...fight, fight, fight!!"
Well, since Garnett moved to the east, I guess now Duncan had a chance![]()
I doubt he watches anything except his own highlights.
You mean the same chance he's had every year of his career?
Chuck: "Tim Duncan is the greatest PF to ever play the game."
GP: "Tim Duncan shouldn't be starting in the All Star game."
Can you imagine what Chuck would have said if GP made that dumb ass comment in front of him ?
He'd probably say something like..
"That's terrible. You a damn fool. See what happens when you get him in front of a camera ? He starts to lose his damn mind. Ernie, you closest to him. Slap him upside the head."
hahahaha
maybe they can call you to add chuck's input from now on![]()
LMAO and his smiling if he read that ...
Barkley has the ability to say off-the-cuff and slightly inappropriate things and make me laugh, but when Payton tries to do it I generally just cringe. Lately, I just turn the channel when those guys come on, because it's not entertaining to me to watch a guy who so obviously has an inferiority complex chip on his shoulder. It also reminds me of why I like the Spurs so much-- they focus on the importance of intelligence and at ude, something the 1990s era Seattle Sonics, with two bone-headed stars, didn't.
The only thing missing when GP tries to be funny is for him to grab his crotch area, bend down a little and walk away for a second. Then come back and try to say something funny again.
AYE!... THE BURN!!!
