Personally i thought he and CWebb were hilarious last night calling out Stockton and Gugliotta
Barkley could have killed someone driving drunk, and that's not that much (hyperbole so don't take offense to that anyone) worse than him getting GP airtime with the DUI.
I find him quite irritating. C-Webb too.
Both are more entertaining than Sean Elliott doing color for the Spurs ...

I've only seen them on NBA TV, they were quite horrible.
C-Webb is irritating but it's not fair to put him in the same boat as Payton. Hearing Payton talk out of his ass about how good players on crappy teams are always better than good players on good teams gets annoying.

Last night while watching the Celtics/Magic game at half time he went on to saying something like he was a 9 time all star because he was that good and blah blah. What balls.

Horrific. He's an hysterical woman. He looks like he came out directly from these boards: he knows little about the game, he screams, he's over-emotional, he's biased and he says nonsensical things. Good player, but an embarrassment as a commentator.
Yeah.....Payton brings the quality of the program down. He is great humor, but analysis is lacking.
First of all, with Barkley gone, the TNT broadcast is Turrible. First of all, they need to bring in Magic. First of all, let me say this, Kenny, Ernie, Magic, and maybe Steve Smith would be a nice group until Chuck gets back.
I don't watch either.
Payton makes Chuck look articulate and intellectual.
When someone makes a racial slur, you guys should just tell me, instead of quoting it four times and just making it be on the forum even more.
