This team's actually 0 pieces away from a le, as in there is NO possible combination of realistic trades out there that can make the Mavs a contender. You could add Gerald Wallace, Mike Miller, and Chris Kaman to this team and it wouldn't put us at the level of the Celtics, Cavs, Lakers, and Magic.
We're living in the Lebron era anyway, everyone's just fighting for 2nd place.
Unfortunately they're probably still only going to do "no-brainer" deals b/c in their delusional mind, the Mavs are only 1-2 pieces away from contending.
THE FO is probably full aware by now that this team's not elite.
The "1-2" pieces away logic did make sense after the 05-06 and 06-07 seasons though.

As bad as the Mavericks are, it's still nice to know there'll be 10 threads on the front page dedicated to them at any given time.
