Spur fan is so utterly predictable.

When they lose it's never their team's fault. It was always the refs, Stern conspiracy, or the Spurs just weren't trying. Or they were tired. Or Duncan had a tummy ache.

    Finals...2008

    Thanks for playing.

How is this different than any other team and any other fan?
Other teams *sometimes* man up and admit that the better team won.

Look I've been monitoring this blog. I am a die hard Spurs fan. However, it does get very old to read the complaints about the refs. It's not the ref's fault. They call it as they see it. They are human and will make mistakes. If the Spurs would have made a much higher percentage in shooting, they would not be trailing, and the refs would never be an issue. Quit with the whining.
Also, don't praise a Spur and then hate them right away after they miss a few shots.
Let's see you play in an actual NBA game, and you'll see just how hard it is to score or even make an open shot. Keep in mind, it's a national audience watching as well. Look at the overall picture and not just what "you" see.

I'm sure I'll get some hate messages, which is typical here. No, I'm not a troll...I'm just someone who understands the game. You should too.

Not a horrible half overall. The Spurs aren't playing too well so they are lucky to be within striking distance. But they have to watch out early in the second half because the Lakers could easily make a run and put the game away.

-Duncan needs to up his aggression and look for his shot more often. The Lakers aren't doubling him much and he can score against both Gasol and Bynum.

-TP doing a pretty good job but needs to play a little smarter. Make cleaner decisions and keep attacking the rim.

-Manu needs to stop being a spazz. Simple passes. Simple loose ball recoveries. Shoot when open and look to create even more.

-Bonner can't start choking now. A bad sign is that his form is now off on his jumper, which is something I've rarely ever seen. He's rushing it and not following through.

-RMJ and Finley need more three-pointers in the second half to keep the Spurs afloat.

-Bowen doing a decent job defensively but needs to stop reaching and keep making Kobe shoot off-balance jumpers.

-KT has to actually play post defense instead of being a 6-foot-9 pylon.

-Pop can't start pulling weird lineups out of his hat. He sat Parker too long in the second quarter and giving up on Hill just caused confusion. More plays for Duncan and Ginobili in the halfcourt sets.

It's going to be hard to win this game but ............................

Bad finish to an otherwise decent first half by the Spurs. I hope Timmy will get more touches in the second half.

Bynum looks like he could be a real beast in a couple of years, by the way.

    Anyway, .

Yes,but he can't because we didn't make a play for him.All our plays began with TD in the top of the key.I can't understand it when you have the best big man of the league.I prefer any day TD taking 25 shots than TP+Bonner taking 15+10.

Strictly from an entertainment point of view and sans Kobe it is very hard to keep seeing the Laker benefit from their prosthetics.

I don't understand how they didn't call that "wrestling" foul of Bryant on Gino...means two points more for L.A. and two less for spurs.
And, by the way, also in the last possession Manu was fouled...(o.k. it was the last possession...Barry rules?)

I agree with Jose..Duncan needs to take a lot more shots, we need him desperately..

horrible first half IMO..not the outcome, but the effort..ridiculous pass attempts, bad play calling..keep it simple..the Lakers D isn't forcing us to do anything, we're doing it to ourselves, as usual..I don't wanna see any Mason isolation plays..I don't wanna see Manu taking stupid shots and trying no-look passes..Duncan needs to get in the post more often..

refs have been fine other than that horrible call to end the half..can't complain..
