You're still missing a few more '0.4' and '4-1, GOT!' references to complete the list of cliches.
Are you going to make the team give back the golden ball they received from the league that year as well. Since it was only half of a season, the league didn't see fit to give them an entire trophy.![]()
Are you stating that you're the same guy as DRHouse?
obviously you havent been to california.... sure the economy and housing market is still in the ter.... but southern california as far as location is still an ideal place to live...
no keep all the trophies you want just let history show that an asterik should be in place there for a shortened season
northern california doesnt count
Regardless it's still and will forever remain an NBA season in the books.
See ya down at Arizona Bay.
The tanking reference is in the other thread.
Oh, and if we're going to use the way back machine, Laimbeer didn't touch Kareem.
LA is ing great. The Lakers suck monkey .
No you're not, and you know it. One word signifies the Spurs club right now: uncertainty. Y'all are pretty sure of nothing.
Face it, that 1st through 4th quarter run down I gave was SPOT THE ON! I know, cuz I've been there. Sucks!
On the bright side, Spurs ownership built one uva organization. Top to bottom class and professionalism with a single minded goal: WIN! Any idiot that doesn't respect your organization or your core players is a ing clown!
Yet, you ARE in a tough spot, whether you want to admit it or not (and most of y'all know it). Spurs don't have enough to get it done unless they play perfect (still might not be enough), and they don't have much to trade... period! Tough spot! Unless mgmt. pulls a rabbit out its arse, it could be very tough to re-tool... could very well be the end of an era.
Many Spurs fans probably came to that realization Sunday... after a lowly reg. season game. It's the main reason some are walking around muttering " ing Lakers... ing Gasol... ing NBA... !" If it weren't the case, I doubt seriously there'd be any "Gasol Trade" threads on this board.
, at least you're fans of a great organization... there's hope. Could be worse... could live in Memphis.
Commence in' (better?)
I loved LA. The people? Not so much.
I never understand the argument about the shortened season..there's absolutely no logic involved..did the Spurs play less games than any of the other teams involved?..
Still not catchy enough.
I love LA, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I have to ask, why are you guys so pissed today? At least do the same thing 12 days ago when they met and LA lost. This just comes off as sour grapes. And 55, quit being a .
some of you guys need to chill out though..don't get too mad about these Laker fans..just think about the fact that you guys are arguing with people that actually CHEER for A RAPIST..just chill out, and think about that for a second..you would have to be a pathetic human being to cheer for a rapist..let alone an adulterer with HIV..I'm embarrassed to even post in the same forum as these people..
I don't know these people personally, so I can't hate them as people...I have a number of friends that are Laker fans as well, and I obviously like them since they're my boys..but I can't respect their morals if they cheer for the harm of women, and the spreading of a fatal disease..
Come on; lots of cool norcal people in LA. I'll agree LA the city itself sucks: badass traffic, ty air, lots of poverty and crime, and stuck-up people. Still, the beaches, mountains, national parks, and San Diego all within a couple of hours drive make it an awesome place.
Then again, pretty much any big city outside of San Diego sucks IMO, including San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas.
I don't have to think about it. I'd love Kobe playing for the Pistons.
people claim that you cannot justify a champion without a full nba regular season... the season had back to back to back games with hardly any breaks in between which can put a strain on older players i.e. Utah Jazz... a completed season with timely rests and breaks can determine a team depth, strength, and chemistry. also it can evenly determine who get HCA. technically Miami from the east should have made it to the finals of that year instead of knicks whom were an 8th seed
I'd cheer for OJ if he could come in and fill in the Spurs gap at the 4.
I don't doubt that the people there are mostly good people. I just didn't run into too many of them on my trips out there.
FAIL - The Spurs were the oldest team in the league that season.
