I voted for him 10000 times
Just curious, did anybody that posts here select Bruce Bowen on the all-star ballot and how many times did they vote for him?
He is having his worst seasons in a long time and has never been a dominant offensive player. Although he was invaluable to the spurs' le runs in recent history, I don't see him as one who should play in the all-star game.
All-defensive team/defensive player of the year is another story...
So to the original question, did you vote for him and how many times???

I voted for him on every ballot, and I don't regret it..the all-star game is about entertainment and it's a popularity contest..who would I vote for ahead of Bruce? I hate every non-Duncan forward that would "deserve" it..

You don't read very much here, do you? There was a thread on the day the starters (and final vote #s) were announced. The Spurs had a contest in the local schools. Highest vote count school got a visit from the Coyote. The kids love Bowen, with his HEBuddy fitness campaign. The fact that the kids were filling out paper ballots, and they were all collected at the end accounts for the sudden Spur vote count jumps at the end.
I voted him 4, 5 times... the rest of the time.... Scola...
i voted for him a few times when i saw how high he was. then i saw artest rising and i switched to melo so artest wouldnt make it. boy did i make a mistake.

I did (on days I remembered to vote, around 7 or 8 in total), and I agree, it's a travesty that Bowen never won Defensive Player of the Year.

I voted for him. He deserves it because he never got enough respect all the previous years.
Per minute, I haven't seen much drop off. Especially recently.
But yeah, we never have to worry about a Spurs player getting overrated these days because Spurs fans are always first in line to take a hatchet to their own players.
+1 on timvp's post..it's only one of his "worst seasons" because he isn't playing..I actually think he might be better than he was the last 2 years, since he's added a little more offense this year..he has a runner that he's added(especially with the left hand), he makes 3s at the same rate, and hopefully his FT shooting has improved..

i wanted to but melo was 3rd in voting and i didnt think Dirk would make a tremendous increase in votes.you should have directly switched to dirk the moment you noticed the sign that artest might make it.
